Glute Nerve/muscle issues post injection

So I’ve been pinning test a while now, had many different experiences with sites and PIP, different oils and issues from that. I’ve generally been rotating sites, glutes and quads. Last week I pinned my LH glute, upper outer half, and had no pain or discomfort at time of pin. Next day I had some swelling and discomfort, like somebody punched me there but I’ve experienced that before. Lasted a couple days and swelling and the bruised feeling has subsided. But I’m having issues with what I’m guessing is a nerve. It feels like when my sciatica acts up, but no real pain in lower back. been to chiro and it helped a little, but the pain is not in my back it’s in my glute. Can rub the glute and feel the area like muscle soreness, but the pain is pretty high. At night when I lay down there is no comfortable position, and the pain intensity is making it impossible to sleep. Sitting and laying down are worse than standing. Definitely have pain going down my leg, into knee and calve. like I said reminds me of sciatic issues. Just wondering if I should be worried, or if anybody has any suggestions. Ibuprofen has been a major help, and I have a Dr appointment scheduled. Dont think I actually hit a nerve since there was zero pain upon injection and swelling has completely disappeared. Possibly inflamed the muscle to the point of pinching a nerve? Any help is appreciated

If ibuprofen is helping it's probably inflammation, if it isn't red and hot then not much to be concerned about. Bad sticks happen sometimes, it's best to continue to keep moving the body part as normal and working out with it. that will keep blood flow going to the damaged tissue.

Thanks for the replies. Been using a veterinarian liniment and it helps some, Heating pad as well.

Guess I was just nervous as it’s been going on 10days and the pain and sciatic nerve type issues are still lingering. Never had any issues last that long, was afraid of some type of nerve damage or something. The only thing reason I didn’t end up at an ER was reading here that if I actually hit a nerve I would know. Been able to do some leg work but squats and DLs are out of the question right now. Guess I’ll just keep at it and hope that the pain goes away soon, getting sleep is rough and work has not been fun. Thanks again
