Among many other thoughts I have re: 'Islamic' extremists/terrorists is the fact that when we send warplanes to bomb or use cruise missles to attack, they call us cowards. That is, since we don't put in ground forces and 'face' them. Yet, their tactic has always been to not only do what they do covertly, but also to kill and maim non-military personel including the elderly, children, etc. without discrimation and without the least bit of interest in bravery or in being true to the religion they claim to follow.

You can't expect the stupid and depraved to make sense. I know of two people personally, friends of friends, who were near misses in those bombings. And don't worry, Cable. Few people are stupid enough to think a few extreme morons are representative of a whole faith. No matter how you classify people you always end up with some winners, a lot of people in the middle, some losers and some psychopaths. The sad part is that if these guys organized and used nonviolent, political means to get their message across they'd have a lot of people sympathetic to them, if not agreeing outright.

My God what the hell is this going to accomlish, terrorism will only lead to more violent reactions in the end. Innocent people die because a few whackos think they are doing Islam a favor, I'm not Muslim but that's pretty counterproductive IMO and can get a lot of your own innocent people killed in the end. Ghandi accomplished his goal without killing innocent people, MLK Jr did a lot w/out killing innocent people, peaceful means are effective when used properly.
