Flu shot when on cycle?

I am on cycle and will be for about the next 5 weeks. Would there be a problem getting a flu shot when I am on cycle or should I wait till i am done? Wasn’t sure since I know steroids weaken your immune system and the flu shot can sometimes get people sick.

unless your running a really harsh cycle then you on gear but with an otherwise healthy life probably has a better immune system than joe ‘**** lifestyle’ public bro.

personally I wouldn’t see an issue

In fact, you may react less harshly due to gear suppressing your immune system. Hence women usually react stronger to vaccinations, androgens lower immune response.

Flu shot would have absolutely no conflict with gear, AFAIK, but none of us here are medical doctors, so if you want to be absolutely sure, I would ask your primary care physician. The problem is, of course, I don't know if telling your doctor you're using steroids could potentially conflict with your insurance coverage and that was the concern years back, but I don't know if that's changed or not.

Started doing the Twinrix hep A/B combo vaccine and Tdap @ work a few months ago while blasting. Next dr visit and bloods will get the flu shot. Right before a blast. I’ve never had an issue. But we’re not M.D’s. My PCP will suggest that I get one and prescribe me TRT all at the same time.

To Star’s point, most pharmacies give flu shots for free so you could always raise it with the pharmacist instead. I’m sure tons of men and women each year get it while on gear and other drugs of all kinds though.

Actually, having a slightly suppressed immune system is a better time to get the flu shot. Studies show that your chances of reacting to the vaccination are greater if you have an overly-active immune system.

I think the main issue when vaccination has more to do with using corticosteroids not anabolic steroids.

I don't get vaccinated.
I've watched too many friends over the years respond badly to it.

That isn't better than getting the actual flu?

Well, I don't care what it's called .... If I feel crappy, I feel crappy.

LOL.

No, for me I deemed it to not be better.
I have had the flu a few times over the years. But for me, it is better than probably getting flu-like symptoms Every Year, and then possibly still getting the Flu anyway.

:)
