I have dealt with Hypoglycemia most of my life, and I have found, staying away from simple carbs helps a lot, you don't get the peaks and valleys. Also steer away from any Pre, Intra or Post work out drinks that contain any sugar. If I can keep my carbs (total) under one hundred a day I am good. Morning fasted workouts are the best for me. My theory is sometime during the night my body switches to fat as it's primary fuel and it does not need the carbs.
