Enzyme that deactivates DHT

3alpha-hydroxysteroid reductase (3a-HSD) is an enzyme that deactivates DHT.
Does anyone know if it would be safe to try to inhibit this enzyme?
I wonder if inhibiting this enzyme will allow DHT to have strong anabolic effects on muscle.
Does anyone know of a supplement or studied compound that will inhibit or decrease this enzyme?

3a-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase Inhibition

...It has been suggested that manipulation of 3aHSD may be beneficial in modulating the progress of steroids such as testosterone through their 5a-dihydro metabolites to the tetrahydro end products. Thus the concentration of the active dihydro intermediate could be boosted by inhibiting 3aHSD. Although specific inhibitors of these enzymes have not been designed for human use, some pharmacological agents (such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents like indomethacin) are known to inhibit 3aHSD activity. Again the impact of such drugs on glucocorticoid metabolism and action has not been considered although it is interesting to speculate that this may contribute to insulin sensitising effects of NSAIDs.

Thanks! I just looked up Indomethacin and it looks like there are many studies showing that it does decrease 3aHSD. Hopefully more studies will be done to see if this could even be beneficial.
Maybe someday they will find a way to only inhibit this enzyme in skeletal muscle because I'm sure you don't want to inhibit it in the entire body.
