Do I Have Gyno?

Just kidding.

I did the second shot and hit the VG this time. No hurry. I felt it more, so I guess I was closer to a nerve, and I think I went into a little patch of scar tissue. Oh well. It didn’t hit the nerve or anything. That’s like electricity.

Now watch, it gets infected. Just my luck.

Also, anyone ever notice how gear changes the bowel movement?

That’s increased metabolic efficiency. It’s slowly slowly slowly becoming “other” than normal. In a good way. Chest fat is already thinning out. Thanks anastrozole.

Oh and I was extra smart, and let my stash of prepped food and protein powder run dry a couple of days ago. And I haven’t fixed that yet. So I’m hungry as sh1t and it’s past my bedtime. But hey, it’s an intermittent fast now. Cool.

So I tried pinning the VG months ago, felt like I was going to hit my hip bone. Do you have a good diagram or pic? It's my nemesis apparently and I can't say with 100% certainty that I am pinning it.

I need a new site as I get horrible PIP from this test/primo blend and can't keep doing left glute/right glute lol. My ass never stops hurting ahaha

Lmao I was just like “is old witch really asking a question like this?, I thought this guy knew his sh1t” lmao

Lol at the title. I hit a nerve pinning my quad once and my leg shot up and hit the desk in front of me with my shin. Needless to say I couldn’t walk after that, nearly thought I broke my shin.

Yep. That’s how you know if you hit a nerve or not. For sure. I go in slow because... yeah hitting that at full speed is not fun.

Also, blood vessels, if you go at full speed into one it feels like a hammer. Painless is only when you hit pure clean meat.

Well it’s more under your waistband than your hip.

Sit down. Find your hip socket, find the top of the hip bone on the pelvis, VG is the median point between the two, slightly anterior or posterior to avoid the blood vessel which runs vertically in line with the femur and hip socket.

If too far anterior you’ll do like I did the other day and hit the tensor fascia, and you won’t be able to move your leg. Too far posterior and you’ll hit the sciatic nerve as it comes out of the gluteus to feed the hamstrings and quads,

So I looked at multiple pictures and diagrams today and even had the wife help me and I think I found it. Pinned super smooth h and easy, but I'll see how I feel in a day or two. So far so good

Some of the diagrams are less than perfect so I hope you found a good one. A few will direct you right to the tensor fascia. That’s a bad diagram.

BTW, very very mild pip today. THIS is how it’s supposed to be. Walking fine, moving fine, dull ache at the injection point.

Between these two I think I got it, or got close. Using a 25g 1 1/2" pin was able to bury the needle and pinned smooth I didn't even feel resistance from the oil like I sometimes do in my quad or glute.

I thought about taking a picture and putting numbers on areas to see where it's at, maybe for Wednesday's pin. Invalid Link RemovedInvalid Link Removed

Looks right. Funny thing, if you move that arrow closer to the anterior edge of the triangle, that’s the tensor fascia lata. A really bad spot to pin I just found out recently.

So I’ll be on those antibiotics already, but I don’t get them til morning. Really really don’t want to have to go in for this. Hopefully what I’ve already got for my periodontal abscess is going to be enough to deal with my newly forming possible ventrogluteal abscess.

How bad? Is it very obvious? I've had lumps last a week or so, not sure how bad something has to be to count as an official infection

Hope you get it resolved soon

If it’s really, really really cartoonishly swollen, and red as hell, hot as hell... that’s when I worry infection. I’ve had lumps last quite awhile and be very painful, from DHB and TNE and a few others, but never this huge and red, and the whole part where the super mild pip went away nicely this afternoon... and now BAM. It just doesn’t seem quite right, so it’s either an infection or some kind of other reaction I havent had. It’s slowly getting larger and the redness is slowly spreading and darkening. But it could go either way at this point, could just be a really swollen not infected injection point I guess. It doesn’t really hurt, unless I touch it.

And the badly placed injection point on my tensor turned out fine so it find it hard to believe this recipe is the problem. It wasn’t swollen or red or anything, just tight in a knot and couldn’t be used because of how painful the pulling was.

Either way, I have an abscess tooth as well. So I will be taking clindamycin for that and it should kill of this infection, if it is in fact infected, which I’m pretty sure it is.

Maybe I’m just not used to seeing this kind of thing on myself with higher bodyfat. Maybe that’s why it looks weird. Or why it’s more swollen and red than I think it ought to be.

Also, we are used to seeing the worst. I think we’ve all had infections that went away on their own and just thought it was pip. It’s a guarantee. It’s actually very common. Not every infection is the same. Something I just realized. It didn’t even occur to me til just now. I think infection, and I think abscess. And that’s sort of a misstep in thought. In reality, while this is likely an infection, it is likely minor and probably would’ve gone away on its own. Not a very strong bacteria.
