Milk if i remember correctly is 92%casein 8% whey.

thanks Edge. i knew it was pretty high.

i was just wondering what the differance would be by using cassein powder as opposed to just buying milk.

From what I have seen Milk is 75% casein and 25% whey.

Are we talking milk or milk isolate? Milk isolate is 80% casein and 20% whey. Milk is not a good source of protein, if you are looking just for protein.

This is news to me.. So are we still getting the 8 grams or not?

Hi,

I'm not sure, because I haven't drank it in years. My point was that I have met a lot of people that think they are getting a lot of protein from milk. Also, they don't realize the fat and/or carbs included.

Take Care

Yes, you would still be getting the 8g of protein from a cup of milk. It's just that a cup of milk weighs X amount of grams and the 8g is only 3.6% of the total weighgt of a cup. Of that 8g of protein, I believe approximately 80% is casein and 20% whey.
