Books vs. Forums

Okay Im super new as a member here. I gather there is a huge need to research the hell out of what Im wondering about beforw I ask a question or post a thread. Ive learned a lot from the great forum here. What's your opinion on spending some cash on a good book that discusses the topic that brings us here? I know the forum is constantly updated by people with real world experience, but would you reccomend a book as THE AUTHORITY on this topic?

Well a book only takes one person view into account. Online you can get great answers or 17 yr olds who think they know everything when they are really fuking up their body.

I would do both

Forums, good for researching supplements and maybe getting a few coupon codes. You can ask direct questions to the supplement companies that make the products. If that information is true and correct or not, well who really knows.

Yeah I know "bro science" Is rampant. Ive seen posts of books that people reccomend but they were from the late 90's. Any reccomendations?

Books from the late 90's still have more relevant and correct information than anything on an internet message board. My advice(Take with a grain of salt because I'm just some guy on an internet message board) is to go to Amazon and search bodybuilding or nutrition books. Check the books over and pick one you like. Don't come on here asking for recommendations for books because you will only get opinions based on the person that you ask.

AUTHORITY on what topic?
aas: i rec anabolics 9th edition. its pritty good.
trainning: google DC trainning its decent.
and so on.
this forum is kinda a wide spectrum you need to narrow down what your looking for.
and yes i like books AND forums. but always research on my own first to confirm what i see on forums.

I own both Seth Roberts, Anabolics, and Llewellyns, 9th edition. You should have them both. Seth explores the gray market AAS/PH more, but Llewellyns is great too.

I wish Roberts would update his like Llewellyn did.

As far as the Internet? It's like any woman I ever knew; it will only confuse the SH$T out of you!!!

The material in my book, since it is more science based is less conducive to frequent updates - mainly because the pace of research, particularly around AAS is very slow. That is not to say that I wouldn't possibly write about other topics. The Anabolics series, because it deals with actual products, real and counterfeit is more suited to frequent updates.

Do you have a link to your book or website about your book?

It is available at primordialperformance.com, lgsciences.com, I think it is also available at the mindandmuscle.net store and at one point it is available at nutraplanet.com but appears to be out of stock but they do have the write-up still:

I'll be the first to buy any related publication. I liked the honest approach and dedication to each AAS/PH. There was no cut and paste if you know what I mean..... ;
