Bcaa amounts and timing

Ok so i just read an article from muscular development on a facebook page. It was titled the lowdown on bcaas. Ill try and copy the link but anyway it stated that taking too much or too frequent the supplement, that it could be counterproductive. That it could restrict insulin sensitivity and leucine being the most important for your mtor pathways was not beneficial taken alongside isoleucine and valine. Theres more in the article. My question is am i hindering gains by consuming aminos throughout the day. I only drink water, milk and make my own bcaa energy (caffeine cap in a scoop of bcaa) . Shpuld i restrict to just intra and post amino consumption?

I wouldn't over think it. It's also Facebook, please don't use that as a credible source for ANY of your info..

This. FB is not a good source for info. But i don't think you're hindering your gains by taking them throughout the day. I don't think you get a whole lot from doing that but whatever works for you. I'd stick to pre, intra and post options for bcaa.

It's an article from a source on Facebook. Does that mean if I follow CNN on Facebook, the article they compose and then link is not credible? It is still a CNN written article.

I can't find the post now OP, but maybe TheSolution can drop in and post the studies he has about BCAA

I totally agree with this. If the post was from a non-credible source on FB then it can't be trusted. I use FB as a means to follow many professional websites.

I use BCAAs every morning for my fasted lifting sessions. From my research this is probably the best time/circumstance to use a BCAA.

I have found past posts from TheSolution but the links he posts are no longer valid. Maybe he has some updated ones for you.

If I remember correctly, BCAA timing is best pre workout when training fasted, intra when training fasted or in betwwen meals 4-6 hours apart.

Correct
Post workout you would be better off going home and just eating . No need for additional Aminos unless you are not consuming a meal for several hours (right off lean gains website under "lean gains guide"

I would suggest:
10g BCAA prior to fasted training
If you are training fed and meeting protein intake in the 24 hour period the need for more may not be necessary

Granted a lot of amino drinks now have recovery agents so people like to sip on them through the peri workout period .

In reality though meeting protein intake , using prior to fasted training , and using between meals slaves 4-6 hours apart as a bonus would be your best bet

I will edit the links when I am home on my laptop

Those were the two links I was looking for Bob, I am going to bookmark them now. I found an older post of yours, and the links looked the same, but they were broken.
