Are there any transdermal ashwagandha products?

No. Keep in mind I have GERD.
Ok. I was just thinking that perhaps you tried a lesser quality or impure extract. KSM-66 and Sensoril are very high quality extracts, and require much lower doses than other extracts/powders, so that could potentially help. What Ashwagandha have you used?

Just whatever they had at GNC. I've used Rhodiola in the past, but it's been a hit or miss. Sometimes it works great, sometimes I feel nothing.

You may use KSM-66 and Sensoril as muscleupcrohn suggests but I wouldnt expect much.. sorry I havent heard of any TD

That's too bad it's aggravating your GERD. Ash appears to actually be a somewhat popular homeopathic treatment for GERD via its GABA antagonism.

If you're interested in giving oral Ash another go, I would heed muscleup's advice and check out a high-quality extract, like KSM-66. My guess is the increased potency/purity over a generic store-brand would be less likely to result in a flareup.

Or you could check out liquid Ashwagandha extracts. A google search turned a few up. You could take it orally (potentially less aggravating than whole sources), or even attempt making your own topical solution with any decent transdermal carrier. A couple caveats, however:
1. I am not familiar with the efficacy of these liquid extracts. I do know that KSM-66 and Sensoril work for me and a multitude of others.
2. I don't know the molecular weight of the withanolides/etc in these liquid extracts and whether-or-not it would be capable of absorbing through the epidermis.

Causes GERD flareups.

I have GERD also how are you coping with it at the moment? Are you on PPI's or dealing with it with natural remedies. I have a few remedies I use myself. Lately I've found having Plain Greek yogurt the moment I feel it seems to get rid of it quite quickly. Raw spinach and kale really helps as well. I also use Amazing Herbs Black Seed Oil and natrum Phos 6X. Both work very well together. The black seed oil is a must have though. Sometimes I feel frustrated and want to go running back to my Nexium especially now that it's OTC though...

I'm on protonix. I have it pretty bad if I don't have my meds.

If it ever gets really bad again believe me I'll be right back on prescription nexium for sure. When I first went off nexium it was hell...somehow I've found a way to manage it naturally but I still feel like most of my days are spent managing my symptoms...not going to lie I think I'd be better off back on my meds. Worrying about having acid reflux is just as bad as having it. I spend a lot of time worrying about a potential episode even if I'm not having issues at the moment
