Welcome To Anabolic Minds! Introduction Thread!

Hi Everyone,
Jay here. Been on a fitness journey for the past 18 months and lost about 50lbs. Been doing mostly hypertrophy training in cutting and maintenance phases. Decided recently to give bodybuilding a shot. Shooting to be sub 10% bf sometime this year and then see which category I could compete in. I’m 5’4 and think I may miss the cutoff for classic. May do 212 and just spend a year or so packing on muscle. No real timeline but love soaking up as much knowledge as possible. I know nothing about competing, posing, peak, etc. hoping to learn from some seasoned folks on here and enjoy the community. ✌️ 💪

Welcome to the Board!

Hi I'm just a guy from the US looking to lose weight and optimize my body and testosterone levels. Don't know what else to say lol. I'm currently taking tirz and will start enclo soon that I got from MA research but still a bit wary cuz MA promised testing long back but still nothing on the site plus hes not been active since Nov, what's up with that lol
Welcome!

MA actually had some very serious medical issues that had him in the hospital for a long time. I believe he’s recovering now thankfully; he & his wife have been getting the businesses rolling strong again.

It’s worth mentioning that MA is a stand-up brand that has been generally found by this board to sell quality research materials. I have no affiliation with them, but found this true for myself for many years now.

Hi all, I'm Chris. Lifted a few years ago, then had kids and decided to park it. Sold home gym etc, now it's a playroom. Decent gym at work so getting back to it. I've lost 21kg (46lb) mainly through diet, now finally at a healthy BMI. Still cutting weight but getting back to lifting properly. I'll keep cutting until the bar weight stops.

Always been natty, but I'm nearly 38 so open to researching what might assist recovery in the first instance, and build some muscle. Wife likes a bit of bulk, not necessarily definition.

Cheers

Hey new to the sight. Been out of the game for a few years due to an injury but I'm back looking to hit it hard.
Definitely been around the block so if I can help .
And I'm all ways looking to increase my knowledge.
When I started I was almost 400lb fat. Now 255, 260lb.

Welcome aboard. Dial in your diet and keep steady on the workouts. Eat in a deficit and do some cardio also. Once you get rid of the fluff you want to get rid of start eating in a surplus and put on a little size.

I will tell you something I was told long ago that I wish I’d listened to, because it would have helped me SO much:

Do not try to gain mass until you get lean enough that you are truly satisfied, and ideally quite lean. The leaner you start to grow from, the better your body will respond to excess nutrients and the more muscle you will add vs fat when you start bringing calories back up.

GET LEAN FIRST

I have to agree with Hyde..
Lean out first, get your diet in check.
it took me over 3years to lose over 200lb.
The hard work you put into your diet will help you when building muscle ..calories the fuel for the body.

Hey everybody, yet another Chris here.

36 y/o, I’ve been into various forms of fitness most of my life. That mainly consisted of long distance running and some mountain climbing until about a year ago. I had a one year old trying to learn to walk who needed my help to get around, but it was killing my back hunching over like that. I figured a good dad would fix that, so I started with some deadlifts and squats and such and pretty soon I couldn’t stop. I’ve lifted almost every day since. I’m in the middle of my OHP/DL routine as I write this, as a matter of fact.

Also worth mentioning my experience with PEDs came from much earlier than my recent plunge into strength training. And I’m a synthetic chemist by trade, so I hope to bring some of that background/knowledge to the board and help out wherever I can.

Thanks for having me guys!

Hi, I am interested in this forum mostly because I am interested in fitness and longevity. I am interested the cutting edge of health and try the latest and greatest science backed supplements.

I will mostly be a lurker but I may occasionally chime in on what new supplement I am taking.

Hey,

Bryan, 28.

Into general strength, size and athleticism. I’ve been training for a while now. Started with athletics, kickboxing and wrestling from around 11 to 18, then moved into street workout / calisthenics (did some competitions), then streetlifting and powerlifting.

These days I’m more into bodybuilding but I still keep some strength work and calisthenics basics in my training.

Glad to be here !

Welcome to the jungle

Hey guys, I’m Dylan from Canada. I work in construction and have been in and out of the gym for years. Recently started getting serious about training again, so I figured I’d join, learn some new stuff, follow people’s progress and chat with others who are into bodybuilding and training too. I’m pretty new to forums though, so still figuring everything out.

And that was real, not automated or AI. LOL

The great thing about lifting is, the weights are always there for you, ready to go as hard as you like. They don’t discriminate 👍

SARMs are like oral steroids in that you can’t stay on them - whatever increased progress & recovery they yield would be temporary, but then you have to come off and now you will have suppressed test levels too that needs recovered. So you end up robbing Peter to pay Paul.

If recovery is the goal, Mk677 & GH-releasing peptides as well as healing peptides like BPC157 are things you could look into. DHEA is also something that may be beneficial to supplement without suppressing your testosterone.

I’d consider getting your total & free testosterone levels checked, as well as DHEA & estradiol/e2. Knowing where you are at with those can give you a better idea of what you’re working with.
Where do you get the bpc157?

Hey guys!

I've noticed quite a few introduction threads popping up recently and thought it would be a good idea to get one thread up for new members to come in and introduce themselves.

So... if you're a new member and or newish, hell, if you're a veteran here introduce yourself! This should serve as a get-to-know the Anabolic Minds Family thread!

We all remember what it was like to first start posting on the forum or to lurk for a while before dipping your toe in, hoping to not get flamed, haha!

We here at Anabolic Minds, want EVERYONE to feel welcome! Just starting out, vets, weekend warriors, even crossfit enthusiasts;). Anabolic Minds as a community, aims to make this a place where people aren't excluded but feel welcome to ask a question that they think may be a silly one.

Come on in guys! Introduce yourselves and see what AM is all about! The members around here, vets or otherwise have a ton to contribute as I'm sure you all do as well!

Tell us why you're here, your goals, how you started out, aspirations for what you hope to accomplish long term or short etc. Whatever you feel is relevant for us to get to know you!

I'll go first!

I go by Spaniard around these parts. I've been a firefighter for ten years now. I've been working on getting my degree for a while but have jumped around to many different majors within this industry to find my niche. I think I've finally settled on biochemistry hahaha

I got into lifting when I was younger because I was tiny! Then I started to notice the changes that I was able to make with a little dedication and have been hooked ever since. I've been around here for a while and have a decent amount of experience, so if you ever have any q's feel free to hit me up!

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and hope that this will be just one small piece that helps you achieve your goals!
I’m Jay, my username being handsfree is a running joke in my friend group but that’s it. No special meaning. I’m 45, I have been into fitness for decades now. I remember when I first started at the age of 19 and it literally set me free. I felt like a new person. It gave me confidence, and matured me from an insecure teenager into a confident, sound minded, solid and disciplined adult. I never looked back and been at it ever since. You name the supplement and I’ve ran it, I do everything 100%. I saw a couple guys say that they were HVAC techs. I been doing that also since I was a young boy. Recently moved to North Carolina where I will be transferring my business and hopefully building it up a little bigger. Talk about a demanding job that makes it difficult to get into the gym, well hvac is definitely that. You need a little extra push every now again to quiet that little voice in your head telling you that “you worked hard today and you deserve to eat a big dinner and rest up for the night. 😆. Anyway I want to thank everyone for welcoming me on here. I joined because I hit a plateau and I wanted to see what everyone was doing these days to see if I could pick up on any new techniques or tips, diet and supplement trends and so on. Thanks again people!!
