The Lean Gains / IF learning and Discussion Log

just discovered leangains a few days ago, and it's awesome! read almost the entire leangains website already! here's a question, though, why does Berkham advocate a feeding window of 10 hrs for women (vs 8 hrs for men)? I can't find an explanation for that anywhere, neither the website, nor...

    Collagen for joint support?

(not sure where else to post this ...) Is there any point in taking it for joints? I've been recently reading on the 'net that it's supposed to be good for joints, but as far as I can tell, it's basically just protein? So no point for someone already eating tons of protein a day to supplement...

    how much muscle?

I tried google first too, but I found some wildly differing numbers. Maybe it depends too much on how long one has been training, the intensity of training, and diet and supplements, and genetics? Or maybe nobody has ever "measured" that?

    how much muscle?

no one knows? I know women gain less muscle then men, but ~2-3lbs of muscle a year max just doesn't sound right. Well, maybe I *just* need to up the dedication and find out ....

    how much muscle?

so, how much muscle can women typically gain naturally with weightlifting in, let's say, a year? I'm just asking because I want to set myself realistic goals in terms of gaining muscle (and losing fat), and I don't really know what to aim for. I've been (seriously) weight training for the past...

For Sale: Primaforce Piracetam bulk powder (Miscellaneous Products)

selling a nearly full tub of Primaforce Piracetam bulk powder. still contains about 415g of the piracetam. Reason for selling: read about it and got a little overzealous and bought the 500g tub. But it didn't quite have the effect that I had hoped for, and I lost interest in taking it. Asking...

    megadosed vitamins?

So I was staring at my collection of vitamin supplements this morning while eating breakfast, and I started to wonder. Why is it that the manufacturers put way more than the daily recommendation into their vitamin pills? For example, just one of my vitamin E pills contains 1333% of the RDA...

    acne

PanOxyl has been working for me too, but I'm just dealing with normal, minor adult bacne. The active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, which basically works by killing off the p. acne bacteria (if I remember correctly). Vit. A/retinol (a different form of vit. A) works also, and is what's in...

question on 7-keto, raspberry ketones, and geranamine

Thanks for the responses! So I started taking the RK (I decided to take my chances with them) at 100mg twice daily, the 7-keto at 100mg twice daily, together with some green tea powder (500mg three times daily) and the CLA capsules. And I was wondering, should I be feeling anything at those...

question on 7-keto, raspberry ketones, and geranamine

I've recently gotten quite interested in supplements (beyond your standard vitamins), and have been doing a lot of reading on those. A few in particular have caught my interest, those being CLA, 7-keto DHEA, raspberry ketones, and geranamine (1,3dimethylamylamine). And I was wondering, can all...
