I was using Insulin and Blood Sugar somewhat analogously. When Blood Sugar is low Insulin is low and the body is catabolic. Glucagon is released to get glucose back into the blood stream and unfortunately a large part of it comes from the muscle cells.
I still don't see how it is anabolic or muscle building. Low insulin levels cause the release of Glucagon. Glucagon breaks down muscle cells to release glucose back into the blood. It would be great if low insulin levels only cause the breakdown of fat cells but it just doesn't work that way...
I can see how the philosophy behind AP can help someone attempting to lose weight but it seems counterintuitive for someone attempting to gain LBM.
Once the body enters into "fat lipolysis/oxidation" it is in a catabolic state and feasting on your muscle cells as well as your fat stores. It...
I always thought that one of the main reasons bodybuilders ate so many meals a day was to maintain insulin levels. My understanding is that when insulin levels are elevated your body is in an anabolic state. When insulin levels are low it triggers catabolism and the body begins to break apart...
I take my 1st dose at 11:30 AM before my lunch time meal (~ 75 grams of carbs from food). My pre-workout meal is at 4 PM (~30 grams of carbs from food) and then I train at 5:30 PM. Is it recommended to take two doses so close together or will this likely make me hypoglycemic during my training?
I've cut back my dosage of AP to 1 pill per day taken with my largest carb meal. The anabolic dumps have gone away but I don't know how effective the supplement will be at this dosage schedule. I haven't noticed any increase hunger that some people have reported. I've been dosing at 1 pill...
I've been using creatine for a couple years straight without any problems. When I get off I notice that I lose some water from under my skin and look leaner and my lifts go down slightly.
I have reduced my dosage to one pill per day with my largest carb meal in order to further assess tolerance. I will update this board with how this works out.
On a side note, I consider myself to have a very strong stomach. I've never vomited from illness in my life and have never had any...
My ass just exploded from Anabolic Pump! Not a pleasant experience. There was liquid feces well above the rim.:jaw:
I'll give it a few more days before I stop the Anabolic Pump. If this continues I won't have any choice but to discontinue use.
