Full Body Workout Every Other Day?

Is it safe to do a full body workout every other day? I only have limited days I can get to the gym, and lately instead of doing upper-body or lower-body I just do full body strength workouts. I am trying to gain as much as I can without getting...
And then some! Ever heard of, "just the tip,"?
And yes, I intentionally put the question mark outside of the quotation mark. Although, just the tip can be a questionable activity!
