300 calories over maintenance. Gained hardly any fat? 2.5 lbs of muscle a month? With hardly any fat gains? I'm sorry was i doing something wrong? I prob coulda kept running it and seeing more and more gains but that is my own mistake i can fess up to. I started 5/3/1. Way too confusing for me...
I have done proven programs. I have done ss and then moved into 5,3,1 and then into a push/pull/legs. and now i feel i can try something myself. I'm a teenager. I wanna look as best as possible right now. The problem with these "proven" programs is they have minimal flexibility. What if i feel...
I have done ss for 4 months gained alot of strength. Yes i wanna be huge when i'm older. And i know it takes time. But until then why should i suffer looking fat?
Ohh and also my shoulders are 59 inches and waist is 30. Heres a better pic of my shoulder to waist ratio. I think my lats and shoulders are actually pretty big. Maybe its the pose in doing in original pic
Im 16 and i don't plan on taking a long cut. Im at 156 in the morning now in that pic i was 152 after a day of eating and i added alot of fat and i just wanted to cut down for maybe a month or 2 closer to summer then start a lean bulk from there and keep it going for a long time
For a natty high energy teen with a year experience would 90-100 sets total a week be way too much? 40-45 for legs and 45-55 for upper body? Prob 25-35 of them are iso if it helps
Well this is my exact plan to gain lean muscle. But first i wanna get down to a lean bf and then start bulking. Not too concerned with exact numbers just wondering if i would look good or too skinny if i shedded some body fat.
Right now im 5"7 155lb prob 15 bf wanna bulk to 160 then lower weight the lowest i'll go is 145 would i look too skinny?
I included a pic thats me at 153 if i gain 5 more lb of muscle and take a very slow cut would it look good?
Note that i had a pump in my chest shoulders and tris in this pic so they appear bigger then they are! Im thinking add in 2 sets of db press and what shoulder exercise and how many sets are you guys thinking?
So what do you guys think i should do? I don't ego lift i got over that phase a while ago im only doing 150x8 haha controlled reps do i need more volume? And i hit my rear delts more then medial and anterior.
All of my pushing muscles are lagging not too sure why i have a big back, big legs, big biceps but chest shoulder and triceps all soft and unproportioned should i up the volume for these groups? Heres my routine tell me if i should up the volume and maybe that will solve my problem
Its a push...
Mine have grew a little in 3 months by doing extremely high reps! Like 30-40 someone once told me calves are endurance muscles cause you're on them all day and they respond well to high reps!
Thanks so much man you've been a great help! Im thinking in gonna change my leg routine to this
Wide stance squats 3x15x10x5
Leg press 3x15x10x5
Stiff legged deads 3x15
Calve press 3x25
Sound good or should i keep all in one rep range?
Was gonna add deadlifts after a couple weeks. Def will do that! And you know what i forgot to mention! I can't do narrow squats cause of my knees but i can def try low rep squats with wide stance! Will these be as effective you think? And since I'm starting wide stance whats another quad workout...
I will def go light atg reps with squat when my progress starts to stall with my higher reps. Anything else you can suggest? Or does everything else look good?
Reason being is i don't have the best knees for t age and i cant go parallel with anything under 8 reps for legs and i also got done doing 5 reps for everything the last 6 months to switch off . I might lower the rep for upper body but im seeing good gains lower body with high reps and they are...
