    Article: Cortisol: Catabolic Muscle Killer?

Same here, I spent the first twenty years working out for two, sometimes, three hours at a time and I was huge back then.

Article: Full Body Classic Bodybuilder Workouts

I agree That's what I do too. I start with FB, after two or three weeks, as volume and intensity go up, I find FB too hard and start a split. However I rarely break it up past upper body/legs.

Article: How Arnold Grew His Chest

His legs still looked pretty big in that silly ping pong commercial too.

    Article: Dangerous Exercise Machines

I might go along with numers 1, 2 and 5, the others are BS. Mostly I use free weights, but I have used all of these, off and on, for going on forty years with plenty of benefit. It's a matter of doing them right. I do agree that using any of these options incorrectly (the way most people...

Article: D-Apartic Acid Doesn't Work For Young People

Never could understand young guys looking for test boosters. I never even thought of it until I was past 50. I use DAA and like the results, cycling it with beta-alanine and creatine.

So why can't I do a BB bench press.

My shoulders are beyond repair (rotator cuff), I have to settle for smith and db bench and I'm happy I can, at least, do those. Be well...

    Pros and Cons of DAA??

I don't know how old you are, but I'm 55 and have tried some of the top test boosters (including daa) and some horemone precursors. I have some anxiety and depression and currently take a depression med which helps alot. Anyway, I'm swearing off all of it because the pros never out weighed the...

    kre alkalyn an caffeine

I use both caffeine and creatine. I still get positive affects when taking the creatine. I've used both for as long as I can remember, personally I don't worry about it.

    Article: Training To Failure

I've probably added about 50 lbs. of muscle to my frame over a lifetime, and I never train to absolute failure on my core movements, periodization does wonders without doing so. Although I do sometimes practice going to failure on isolation movements.

    Resolution noobs

Seems there are several in every gym, I hate that crap with a passion. Day dreaming on the machines seems to be another problem. I usually recommend alternatives to these people and try to point out the error in their ways. Sometimes I make recommendations to the staff if people keep doing...

Article: Bodybuilding Rules And When To Break Them

Been using higher reps between cycles and the workouts make me feel energized. Far as rule 4 goes, just last night I had bacon, fried eggs, potatoes and toast, like I use to back on the farm as a kid, and I felt super energized. I gulped down a protein shake right after and I was in heaven.

I like after when the muscle is warm.

    Squatting without spotters?

There is no need to go to failure in a strength training phase. You should be doing doubles or triples using the same weight. Then on your next cycle, ad five or ten pounds to your sets of 2-3 reps. I've been training alone forever, and I've just learned to get the last one up. Not to mention...

Article: The New Steroid Legislation Q&A with Rick Collins

As far as prohormones go, if they are worried about young people being exposed, they should slap an age limit on sales, then let us old guys (who would actually benefit from them) make up our own minds, as some of us actually do know what we're doing. It amazes me the boys on the hill have time...
