Awesome subbed to this thread. We just had our daughter five weeks ago. Whole new world. I love it.
The only thing is I haven't been able to get to the gym regularly. Any father's advice for newbie dads and lifting?
This happened to me a week ago, when I started my epi cycle. I was freaking out too. I even cracked open my AI and took a dose, but after reading through some post on here. I attributed to fluctuating hormone levels and after a couple of days my sensitive nips went away.
This happened a few days ago, just hadn't had time rag about it, haha.
So I'm in the power rack doing my box squats. When two guys show up to do squats in the rack next to me. One of them was obviously the alpha male giving the other "instructions."I could sort of hear through my earbuds. He...
Haha...yeah I usually don't say anything either. Had a guy next to me the other day doing some kind of squat good morning all in one routine. He would lower his butt an inch at the same time lower his upper back to just above parallel.
But I did step in last month when a woman was trying to...
It's all in how you give the advice. If your like "hey f*ckwad, you're an idiot, this is how you do it"-then yeah a little douchey.
But if it was constructive criticism and advice then I wouldn't call it a douche move. I had a trainer come up to me and gave me some advice a few months back. It...
Yeah I haven't been there, but a buddy of mine when he works in that area, says its great place to train. It's huge and not a lot of people there since the membership fees are more.
If your going to 24 hour fitness in Denver stay away from the one at Alameda and Colorado Blvd. Like most 24 hr fitness there's 1 squat rack, 1 power rack, and a smith machine. And at the aforementioned 24 there's usually three d-bags trying to do some kind curl(even though there's empty curling...
I started the program around three weeks ago. My box squats numbers are going up(perhaps from muscle memory) 165 to 260. Bent over rows 185 to 215. Deads haven't really improved noticeably they've been around 330-345 depends on how taxed my nervous system is after squatting. Still trying over...
Cool keep us updated. Subscribed, interested in your progress on this program.
I've been lifting serious for almost three years put on some decent size. But I feel I could have done better if I started with a program like this. I immediately jump into more advance lifting techniques right away...
I agree with you. I ran it twice while I worked at high paced Recreation vehicle assembling line where we made 20 travel trailers a day. Workout three days a week to maintain strength. And went through maintenance with a Keto style diet as well.
I lost 40 pounds, I have since gained 30 pounds...
No problem. I got the info from a guy on YouTube. His nutrition info has helped me out tremendously. Icecreamfitness is his channel, his name is Jason Blaha. Guy from Texas, that now lives in the UK. He has a wealth of knowledge and even talks openly about "gear" use, since its not illegal in...
Math isn't adding up 425g of protein=1,700 calories 450g of carbs=1,800 calories 112.5g of fat= 1,012.5 That's a grand total of 4,512.5
What's your maintenance calories at? Go 500 calories under that. Add 800 calorie deficit of cardio a week.
I suggest: 1.2g of protein per LBM(lean body mass)...
Forget about macro percentages that's old school stuff.
This guys info is great.
except I would recommend 1g of protein and .5g of fat per LBM(lean body mass)
So say body fat percentage is 12%. Then do this:
195x.12=23.4(round it down to 23)
195-23=172 LBM
172x1=172 grams of protein(x4=688...
