Man this was soooo true for me. If I slept on my back at all while on TRT, I would wake up gasping for air at least once a night. It was extremely frightening the first few times it happened. Ever since I've been off TRT my sleep has improved DRAMATICALLY. Now I can sleep however I want w/ no...
Update:
The move was pretty stressful, but I'm feeling a lot better after getting settled in. Have been getting strong morning erections everyday now which wasn't even happening pre-TRT. Weird.
Only negative so far is I'm still having back acne flare-ups. I NEVER had problems with this at all...
Yeah I did some googling and it looks like 5000 seems fairly standard. I was only taking 1000, so maybe bumping it a bit will be helpful.
Have you noticed any difference in mood, etc?
I was slightly vitamin D deficient in my original pre-TRT labs, so that does seem like a good idea especially considering I'll be in Canada and haven't lived outside of Texas my whole life. :)
I know it would help to know my levels now, but what would be a good amount to start with? How much is...
Moving to Canada tomorrow so obviously been under quite a bit more stress than usual. I'm handling things relatively well but I still am having occasional bouts of depression-like symptoms. It's bearable though and I at least know the reason for it.
One surprising positive change: Morning...
Minor update:
I did cheat almost exactly two weeks ago and injected 50mg of T. Other than that, I've stayed away from everything else. Had a couple of bad binge drinking nights that really had me feeling like ****, but I feel relatively decent now. I'm sleeping a little better (harder to get...
Well, I've been sorta on again/off again for a year now, but at first it was with creams which I didn't think did anything. I went off TRT for 3-4 months, then tried injections and have been on those for I'd say ~6 months now. We started out w/ 120mg total per week and my test was in the 1000...
Ok, so I'm pretty sure it's not entirely in my head at this point. I'm definitely feeling a little down now. Energy levels are ok at some points during the day but I can't sustain it and I occasionally get this hopeless feeling that I'm never going to get my **** together. Sleep has actually...
Really appreciate the good discussion guys even if everybody doesn't agree.
It's been a little over a week since my last T shot and I can't be certain but I think I'm starting to feel a difference. Went out w/ a girl I'm talking to last night and erections were still no problem, but I drank...
Thanks a lot guys. Should I expect the next month or two to be somewhat ****ty? I only ask because I'm making some serious life changes and would hate to make everything more stressful/hard than it needs to be.
Before I make this post, thanks Matrix for the good advice on my old threads. It really got me thinking about how I don't want to be stuck on TRT for good if it isn't necessary. I was planning on contacting the doc you recommended, but money is really really tight right now (another reason I...
You'll get no argument from me. I was at a relative low point in my life when going on TRT and didn't know wtf I was doing. I guess I hoped it would be an easy fix, but like you mentioned, after the initial honeymoon period it's been a constant battle just feeling like I used to. I don't...
I know it's been a while, but after a lot of thought I wanted to bump this thread since I've decided to try and see if I can get off TRT. What would you consider an optimal environment and how should I proceed?
Really, really appreciate it BTW.
Hope this kind of thread is allowed, and I apologize in advance if it's not.
So after fighting w/ my doc forever, she finally prescribed an AI after my E2 came back at ~60-65. I went to fill my script and, naturally, my insurance won't pay for it. She prescribed .25 mg 2x/week so I'm getting 2...
I was using 30g insulin pins and even drawing up 1/2 a cc didn't take much longer than two minutes or so. Definitely worth the extra time IMO since they're pretty much completely painless.
Thanks Matrix. I'm curious about this statement though:
Given I have two real choices:
1)Go off TRT and hope for the best or
2)Stay on TRT and fix my protocol
What would be your recommendation for each?
I know...it was definitely a mistake at the time, but I just trusted what the Dr. said and didn't question it enough. I know better now. :(
What would you suggest my plan be going forward? Am I pretty much forced to stay on TRT at this point? What would you have suggested I do if you were her...
