Couldn't you just use digitonin to remove the EB and leave the TP intact? Since EB has its benzene ring inserted on the foremost ring instead of the 17-hydroxyl position, this would still be precipitated by digitonin correct. this would leave the TP intact as it has an ester in the 17 position...
