I LOVE how Burn Xtreme makes me feel for an hour. Then I'm pretty miserable for the next 3 hours. (UGH!)
I get uncomfortably cold and my hands shake and I find it hard to sit at my desk and be productive.
Those two both sound like substances that would make sleep impossible. How, specifically, have you used them for late night energy that doesn't disrupt sleep?
How hard should I be pushing my runs? Should I be trying to keep my breathing and/or my heart rate at a particular level? Or should I be pushing as hard as I can?
I've read things like we should run at a pace where we could speak in regular sentences -- or can breathe through the nose.
I tend to have an energy and motivation crash 2 to 3 hours before bedtime. But stimulants and fat loss supps at that time make it impossible to sleep (even though I'm still TIRED at bedtime after taking one of those 2 to 3 hours earlier).
Is there anything I can take to give me a lift for those...
I just got an app called Couch to 5K, which helps you prepare to run a 5K even if you're totally out of shape. It's a 9 week program.
It relies heavily on intervals -- walking and running. It increases the run times and decreases the walk times as the program progresses.
Has that been proven...
Did my 2 miles (plus .25 there and back) on Thursday. I just realized I'm slower right now than a year ago when I did the 5K. That same 5K is coming up on 10/6 and if I'm going to be this slow I may not run it.
Yesterday, I had just set up my rings to do a workout when my son called. He needed...
I was reading some protein powder flavor opinions and found this, which made me laugh...
First guy: I also loved mocha but it made my piss smell like it all the time. After 11lb of it, I will pass from now on.
Second guy: It's piss, no need to smell it!
Thanks, Hit.
Yeah, the weight stayed off while I wasn't working out at all for about 2 months. Then it started creeping up. Just about 4 pounds, so far.
I was doing Deadlifts and Chin ups and Farmers Walks when I was doing the gym. Only the chin/pull ups now I'm exclusively rings.
But, I'm...
I did a 3 mile run/walk, yesterday.
To give an idea of how bad my endurance is:
Mile 1: 10:51
Mile 2: 12:31
Mile 3: 15:46
That last mile was probably more walk than run, but I was still pushing myself.
There was also the 1/4 mile walk to and from the park for the run.
My legs have not been...
I'm going to buy the Trainer version of COC Grippers, soon. But in the meantime, I'll try squeezing a couple of these a few times a day.

I'm edging back up on the scale and I can't tell if it's due to not being as careful with my nightime snacking, or because of how long I've been away from the gym or because I just started resistance training again and muscles are retaining more fluid and glycogen. Probably a combination of all...
I hit a low of 220 last week. Been bouncing between that and 224. That's after about 6 weeks of no workouts and not being too careful with my nighttime snacking.
Budget is tight so I put my gym membership on temporary hold. Here is my new gym:

That pyramid structure is about the height of a 2 story house. It's got metal beems and cables with rope sheaths. I spend about 20 minutes climbing up and down and all around it.
I bought...
