    Lifting Log

Before logging today's stuff, I should give a little review of Ferox. Actually, this morning was the first time I used Ferox and PermaSwole together. I didn't buy them intending to stack, but I caved and had to try it. It would be easy to do one of those EXTREEEEEEEEEEEME reviews and say that I...

    Lifting Log

My Ferox came in, so I went ahead and did my bench press singles, even though the back wasn't 100% and arching kind of hurt. I got up to 275 for a paused (barely) single, and hit 280, but my ass came off the bench, so I need to work on that. After that, I wrapped a super band tricep to tricep...

    Lifting Log

Oh, and to make it relevant, I've lifted with Cannibal Swole as my pre-workout the past few days. It's really good to use in the afternoon when I'm more awake, but I'm anxious for my Ferox to show up so I can get some caffeine in me for morning lifting.

    Lifting Log

Alright, here goes. I was supposed to do 10x10 deads and bench yesterday, but about eight sets in, my back was really cramping up, so I pulled a couple heavier singles to finish it out and considered that good enough. 2" Deficit Axle Deadlifts: 8x10@315, 435x1, 455x1 -belt on the 455, all...

    Lifting Log

So, I've been a C&P fan for a little while now, involved in generic "fitness" related **** for about five years, and lifting seriously with the intention of getting stronger for probably 2-3, although it's hard to say because it was more of a transition than just deciding one day that I was...

    DHEA in high doses

So all the Andro products got me wondering if anyone had ever tried running regular DHEA at high doses. If so, how high would you go? Waste of time and money? Other concerns? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

    Baking soda for increased performance

How well do you like diarhea? It's a common side effect.

Thinking of cutting back on carbs to lower fat.

You could easily cut the starchy carbs. I wouldn't cut ALL carbs, though.

    Only sprints while cutting?

Have you tried Tabata? You could do a tabata for several different moves each workout. Push-ups, rows, and squats would hit the full body in one workout. You could also set your workouts up to be a circuit, going from move to move rather than sitting around resting between lifts. That's a...

    Only sprints while cutting?

You can do ANYTHING HIIT style, FYI. You could do full body HIIT workouts if that's how you like to workout.

    Only sprints while cutting?

If you're cutting weight, you need to give your body a reason to hang on to muscle. If you're not using your upper body at all, expect some of it to go bye-bye.

    Decline bench?

I see no benefit to decline bench that you can't get doing weighted dips. It's basically the same angle without the risk of severing your head off with the bar.

    When should I cycle creatine?

That made no sense at all. You can have a good cycle without creatine, but you'll have a better one with it. There's absolutely no reason it has to be either or. Creatine is totally safe. *edit* -re: joblow1

Favorite exercises to start workouts with

The rowing machine or jump rope are usually enough to get me warmed up and I don't really do isolation moves, so after that, I start working up to my working sets on the big lifts.

    my workout, looking for input

I honestly don't see how those workouts could take you 2-3 hours...or how you can have a 200 heart rate. I've never known of anyone hitting that. Ever. Cisco is right about the fat, though. You can't gain that amount of muscle in that amount of time and body building workouts seem counter...

    Power Racks

Weighted pull-ups and chin-ups are much better IMO.

    Morning training?

I lift in the morning most of the time. Depending on how heavy I'm lifting, sometimes it affects my top end strength a little bit, but not much. It just feels good to start my day that way.

CARDIO AB WORKOUT YES OR NO

Doing ab focused exercises isn't going to speed up the fat loss around your belly. You can not do anything to affect where the fat you're losing comes from. You'd be better off, doing full body workouts at a fairly quick pace to work a lot of muscle and burn a lot of calories. The loose skin...

    When should I cycle creatine?

I mix creatine powder with gatorade and drink it during workouts, so I don't get any on non-workout days.
