    Best protien before workout

In all honesty, you would be just fine training in a fasted state. Many of those who do intermittent fasting do and even many who don't follow im do, as well. It's a preference for some but its fine to do. Edit: I forgot the original question while typing, my apologies. If you really want a...

    Bicep Routine Opinions/Advice

This. Weighted chins in combination with your other pulling movements will be plenty. Your arms will grow with you as you get bigger and stronger. Endless sets of curls, although tough to let go for many, is not the most efficient method.

    Is stretching a must do?

You should be wary of the downsides, in addition to its benefits. Static stretching has been shown to reduce power output and, in general, can cause hypermobility and joint laxity. I also don't believe there are many, if any, studies showing it reduces risk of injury. It's another tool that...

    Training Differently on Steroids?

I'm on the same page with you I'm just generally interested in why steroids and an overall increase in testosterone would cause there to be a lack of any of those byproducts of glycolitic metabolism. Edit: I understand you can increase volume and or frequency while on, I was just curious if you...

    Training Differently on Steroids?

I'm fairly certain the build up of hydrogen ions and the subsequent change in ph is what causes the "burn", so to speak. However, I was referring to any science showing steroids changed the production of lactate, lactic acid, hydrogen ions, etc. It sounds highly unlikely.

    Training Differently on Steroids?

Discourages lactic acid buildup? Admittedly, I'm not overly versed on aas literature but can you elaborate or site any kind of reference for that?

    Question about scapula position!!!

Most of those listed, including bench press if you keep your scaps retracted as is tought by many for stability, will keep you retracted. Shrugs will cause elevation. When o/h pressing, if I'm not mistaken, you will go into a laterally rotated position. Edit: the pressing pain could be due to...

    Forearm development

I worded that poorly. I meant loop the towel around the bar so that aren't gripping the bar, pull up bar, whatever at all. You're holding only the towel

    Forearm development

You could also do things such as rows, pull ups and the likes with towels draped around the bar so that you are gripping the towel and not the barbell.

Widowmaker / Working out until failure for lower muscles?

Eccentric contractions do more damage in terms of microtrauma which would explain the unusual soreness.

    BB Curls to the Face

I would imagine its bc the biceps are also a weak shoulder flexor when the wrists are supinated as when doing bb curls so that motion would work both actions. I have no idea in reality but this would make sense I suppose

    Static stretching bad?

Agreed with above statement. In addition, full Rom resistance training can be an effective method to enhance active range flexibility itself. I also don't think there have been too many studies showing a strong correlation between ss and reduced injury rates

    Bench press max

Yeah I figured as much. No harm, no foul

    Bench press max

First and foremost, that was not meant as a shot what so ever. I even addressed that there are endless methods that will get the job done. With that said, what works for one doesn't necessarily work for all and if the young man is working towards becoming stronger, frying the CNS is simply not...

    Baking soda for increased performance

That's what I was wondering. I didn't know if it had to be consumed within a certain time frame with regards to the sporting event. Thanks

    Bench press max

Just to add a few things, and no disrespect to those who have suggested these things as there are many ways to get our goals accomplished but I caution against a few suggestions. I would tell you not to lift to failure for multiple sets. 3 sets to failure done for prolonged periods of time is a...

    Reps

In addition to what has already been said, muscle fiber composition has a lot to do with it (I believe that's what the link in the first response discusses) but regardless of which rep range you choose, you need to make sure you're eating to gain size.

    Baking soda for increased performance

I would assume it is the case but could you spread that throughout the day so as not to chug down 25g of it?

    ab question

Kills thirds birds with one stone but in my training, I classify O/H Squats as a core exercise more so than a squat variation. I use it for core strength and shoulder stability in addition to the squat. The overload comes more on the side of core strength and shoulder stability than your leg...

    Triceps and calfs

With triceps heaving pressing should be the basis of your workouts. All the other accessory lifts are great as well, however, be sure to include some form of o/h triceps work whether it be with a dumbbell or a cable machine. When the shoulder is flexed is stimulates the long head of the triceps...
