  1. protein intake

You're right that protein is basically protein, whey is derived from milk so it is the same thing as food. That's why the countless people who say that you should ditch supplements and only eat real food are idiots, most supplements are derived from real foods.
  2. TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE ANABOLIC WINDOW-IS IT REALLY NECESSARY?

This board is a lot more intelligent than most other fitness boards I visit. There isn't really and such thing as an 'anabolic window'. The human body would not make sense if it worked that way. Your body is able to adapt the the stresses you place on it whether or not you drink the newest...
  3. Best Training Shoes??

I have the free 5.0s, and I find they have a little too much 'give'. When I squat the middle part of my foot starts to move in and my knees don't track outward as much as they should. I don't know if other frees have this problem, but I was disappointed as I bought them specifically for lifting.
  4. Small Joints and Heavyweight?

Even if you are genetically disadvantaged, look at the strongest guys around you at the next meet you go to. Maybe one or two of them will be genetically perfect for powerlifting. Most guys who are champions got there because they have godly levels of perseverance and dedication, not good genes.
  5. RAW RAW RAW max effort movements only !

What this man said. Westside is geared towards lifters who pull or push in a suit or shirt. A geared lifters will never have problems in the hole, off the chest, or off the floor just because the equipment gives them enough rebound that it isn't a sticking point. If you do Westside style...
  6. not progressing well on 1 set exercises

The problem with a single set is that unless you are a seasoned lifter, you more than likely won't have perfect form on every single set. Without very good form, all of the necessary muscle fibers won't be activated, and you'll be left underdeveloped. If you're relatively new, doing 3 sets of 5...
  7. Pre exhaustion remedy for uneven muscle devlp??

Try using barbells. It's easy to get uneven development working with dumbbells, but it's nearly impossible with barbells. Also, as suggested, try doing your reps with your weak side first and only letting your strong side do as many reps as you did with your weak side.
  8. changing my routinÉ

Take whatever routine you are currently doing and add more high-volume assistance work. What exercises you pick depends on what areas you want to grow.
  9. Hittin a wall while bulking....NOOOOO!

Don't just drink milk, make a blender full of home-made weight gain shake and drink the whole thing throughout the day. Mix milk, protein powder, a ton of peanut butter, greek yogurt, carb powder, basically whatever you want in it.
  10. changing my routinÉ

It may be possible but it sounds like you need to pick your battles. It will be difficult to train power and hypertrophy efficiently without going at least 4 days a week. The simplest thing to do would be to have a base power routine (like 5x5), and add in hypertrophy-based assistance work.
  11. changing my routinÉ

How many days a week do you have?
  12. changing my routinÉ

You should check out Layne Norton's routine. It's also hypertrophy program mingled with a strength program, but it's much simpler than what you posted. Simpler is always better unless you are an elite-level lifter. Basically: Day One, Upper Power: 3 or 4 Compound pressing and pulling...
  13. a totally diffrent way to work out? check this out!

I don't think the extra muscle mass will be worth the looks you get in the gym for slapping a tourniquet around your legs before doing calf raises.
  14. shoulders / lats

Try heavy Yates rows for your lats. You can pull a lot more weight than you could in a strict form barbell row, and it makes your lower lats feel like they're on fire. Also try Kroc rows if you never have, grab the heaviest dumbbell in the gym and try and set a new rep PR with it every week or so.
  15. I cant get my legs sore anymore

Being sore is not a good indication of whether or not you are making progress. Your body adapts to the stress you place on it, getting more efficient at clearing out the chemicals that make you sore, and after awhile it will be impossible to get sore without overtraining.
  16. opinions on frequency of training chest

It is ass backwards. I'm saying that they get away with it because of the large amount of drugs they take, I'm not saying it's optimal. To train the muscles maximally with low volume, you need to increase the intensity. The number one thing you should be trying to do if you want to add mass is...
  17. UFC 117

Silva vs. Sonnen is the only matchup where I've ever rooted for a fighter to lay and pray for five rounds to a decision victory. I really hope Sonnen can pull it off, but I really don't see it happening.
  18. I'm squating 10lbs more than I can deadlift

I'm surprised no one has suggested changing up your form. I consistently squatted more than I pulled until I switched from conventional deadlifts to sumo deadlifts. If you're a tall guy especially, give it a try and see what works.
  19. opinions on frequency of training chest

Really you should be aiming to fatigue your muscles maximally even if you are training 2x a week. The idea that a muscle needs a full week to recover is absurd in my opinion, only bodybuilders on anabolics can make it work well. The rationale behind low volume is to save your central nervous...
  20. Me deadlifting

Straps or not, that's very goof form for a weight that high. I've been trying for months to learn to preserve my deadlift form while upping the weight, very jealous.
