  1. Ketosis carbs?

That will most certainly kick you out of ketosis.
  2. 900lb Raw Deadlfit for almost a Double yesterday

Chris...that is an unbelievable deadlift. You're a true motivation to the powerlifting community.
  3. Anyone used androbulk ?

Matt, if you wouldn't mind sending me the details on pricing, I'd like to run and log the stack for you. It would be my first time for any hormonal product outside of Erase so I think I'd be a good baseline for efficacy. Diet and training are on point.
  4. Carb intake

If following the guidelines of something like the Anabolic Diet with structured refeeds, I wouldn't be too concerned with muscle loss. I used a low carb protocol for over a year with good results, but for powerlifting I simply don't feel nearly as strong without at least moderate carbs on a...
  5. Pet peeves in the gym - sorry if its a repost

Why the hell would a gallon of water bother you?
  6. 5/3/1 on cycle?

Pretty much agreed. In any case it's an awesome training method, assisted or not. Hitting plateaus on 531 is demoralizing, I must say. It's awful to hit a PR on certain movements one week and then be humbled by reps or weight the next.
  7. 5/3/1 on cycle?

The actual load used for calculation on 531 is 90%. And when Wendler advises to "train like a bodybuilder," he's simply referring to maintaining symmetry in your training and nothing else. This is a strength program, plain and simple. That being said, it seems there's little that would...
  8. Tomhawk Is Eating His Cake And Having It Too (CBL)

Good friggin' Christ. Amazing stuff Tom. You made that hold at the top look ridiculously easy. That is some pure animal strength, my friend. And that dude in the background is hilarious. His face says it all, watching someone tear the hell out of a 600 plus lift.
  9. Article: Smaller Portions Means Less Eaten

Men's Fitness is not exactly a revelation.
  10. Tomhawk Is Eating His Cake And Having It Too (CBL)

Tom, awesome numbers on your overhead 531. Ten reps of strict military at 165 is a feat for sure. Any updates on weight? Still packing on the mass and leaning out? Toughchick, your moniker says it all. It's great to see your optimism and determination even in the face of injury. I hope you...
  11. Workout partner or solo? What do you prefer?

Always been a solo guy, mostly because friends who go to the gym generally focus on isolation work or show wavering dedication to training. That being said, a good, positive workout partner can do wonders for progress if you're both looking to the same goals.
  12. Paleo diet for bulking?

This is only a personal opinion, but there seems to be far too much emphasis on timing and protocols for bulking. As long as your calories are in a surplus and you feel that it's beneficial for your own individual physiology, there shouldn't be an issue with bulking on paleo.
  13. Tomhawk Is Eating His Cake And Having It Too (CBL)

You're an absolute inspiration to your fellow CBLers, Tom. Keep those posts coming.
  14. Muscle Meds (Carnivore)

MM Carnivor is a decent whey substitute if you're fond of fruit flavored proteins, but there are so many choices in that price range that have excellent profiles. Ultimately your protein supplement is not going to be anywhere as significant as your whole food diet so take protein shakes with a...
  15. Weight loss nutrional regulate

To put it bluntly, most experience either constipation or diahrrea on ketogenic diets. To combat constipation, include either flavorless/sugarless psyllium fiber supplements or eat avocadoes regularly, which may aid distress. You may also want to consider a light potassium supplement to...
  16. Time between sets?

Rest periods can vary based on what type of training you focus on. If you're aspiring to gain strength primarily, rest periods between sets of heavy compounds might come in the range of two to three minutes or more. For hypertrophy focused workouts, evidence exists that a shorter rest period...
  17. Weight loss nutrional regulate

Texaspride, on a ketogenic diet with resistance training involved, I'd attempt a strict ultra low carb (under fifty grams not including fiber counts) protocol for the first two weeks. Meals should be comprised of 60 percent caloric intake coming from fats, 35 from protein, and the remainder...
  18. Correct Benching Form

Ridiculous. Too much back in benching? Your father's form is fine.
  19. Weight loss nutrional regulate

AD, or the Anabolic Diet, is what the above poster mentioned in a nutshell. Plenty of dietary fats, adequate protein, minimal carbs coming from fibrous green vegetables. Carbohydrate refeeds lasting one or two days dependent on training levels, once every week or two.
  20. Supp for an all day pump

Still laughing at the above poster. No kidding. Christ, some of these threads are absolute gold.
