  2. Who's taking Olympus Labs K1NGS Blood

I thought labels showed elemental zinc these days? edit: and the label says 333% daily value, so it sounds like the zinc is elemental since the RDA is 15 mg
  3. Who's taking Olympus Labs K1NGS Blood

50 mg zinc! Damn! Looks like an interesting product though
  4. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

I agree, but in euthyroid people TSH should really not be above 2
  5. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

Too much iodine in euthyroid patients has been shown to induce subclinical hypothyroidism (i.e. TSH going too high) but I am not sure how this would relate to body temperature.
  6. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

Also - are you guys eating enough Vitamin A (carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach, etc)?
  7. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

Yes I do have the MTHFR genetic mutation and supplement with 400mcg l-methyl folate daily, in addition to green leafy veggies and broccoli. My last serum B12 was super high so that is good as well.
  8. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

Actually some of those symptoms I have as well; cold hands and I don't seem to have very good blood flow anymore, even though I'm hydrated and eating well. Also have been going to the PT for generalized low back pain that doesn't seem to be getting better, and the low Back pain did not seem to...
  9. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

yes but I believe it is due to a stressful job on midnights hours (9 pm to 5 am), not anything related to iodine in particular. Now some of my symptoms may be due to subclinical hypothyroidism (reverse T3 a bit high, total T3 a bit low but both still in range), but as I stated earlier, stress...
  10. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

Let us know how it goes. I will let you know that for my lab tests, when I supplemented with 1 mg iodine daily (LEF Sea-Iodine), my TSH went up to 2.8 mIU/L. When I decreased it to just the 225 mcg potassium iodide product I mentioned, it went down to 1.2 mIU/L in about a month, so your thyroid...
  11. 5 must have supplements for everyday.

vitamin D magnesium zinc creatine Toss-up between protein powder or curcumin formula such as BCM-95 the only concern I have with creatine is that I have MPB and I believe I have started to notice thinning hair unfortunately, whether or not this is creatine's fault due to its effect on DHT I am...
  12. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

not long at all - once your urinary iodine is in the range of 150-250 μg/L you are considered adequate. I'm not a big fan of iodized salt - I just like the taste of sea salt or himalayan salt and just supplement with 225 mcg daily.
  13. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

agreed, increasing iodine by just a bit can be an easy fix if the problem is iodine-related. I personally supplement with 225 mcg potassium iodide daily (Pure Encapsulations). Iodine intake is a funny thing. Work by Zimmerman et al suggest that intake over 500 mcg results in high thyroid volume...
  14. KSM-66 Paradoxical Reaction

KSM-66 just doesn't work for some people, I am one of them. Every time I took it I became dumb (lack of common sense), had a headache, my sleep was actually lighter/more fitful due to the dreams, and easily agitated.
  15. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

you were taking like 1 mg per day right? I believe a recent study on Japanese iodine intake found it to be about 1-3 mg on average, way below the 15+ mg previously reported.
  16. I'm looking for the best multi-vitamin and wondering what the best form of b12 is.

what is the best marker for B12 then? My last serum b12 was over 1500 pg/ml. I have since cut out methyl-B12 supplementation and just focus on meat/seafood for it.
  17. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

Do you have any links showing that carnitine supplementation in hypothyroid patients produced negative results, such as lower free T3, etc? I'm not sure I've come across any but I would like to read them if available. Hyperthyroid patients can find relief from carnitine because hyperthyroidism...
  18. Adrenal fatigue?

Agreed - before turning to supplements that probably won't have a large impact, I would look to stress reduction. Exercise that gets you sweating but doesn't overwhelm you, making sure sleep hygeine is good (good mattress, cold room, proper duration, proper bed time, magnesium glycinate if you...
  19. Hypothyroidism and supplements!

This recent study from 2016 actually showed that carnitine supplementation significantly improved PFS (physical fatigue score) and MFS (mental fatigue score) in patients younger than 50 years and those with free T3 ≥ 4.0 pg/mL compared with placebo. L-carnitine supplementation for the...
  20. Cortisol supplement for fatloss??
