Nice work man!!! Keep it up, I think you're right on that verge where you are going to start seeing some definition
  5. Intra-workout Carbs, Caffeine, & Insulin Resistance

I really don't have anything to back this up but I've thought about a similar situation. My thoughts are that the caffeine will lower whole body insulin sensitivity ( both muscle and fat) but resistance training will increase insulin sensitivity in muscle only. Therefore making a more favorable...
  6. Iced coffee flavored protein powder

Yeah. That's where I get my protein powder for myself. She's pretty picky about flavor, and even though myprotein's flavor isn't bad, I don't think it would do it for her. I do agree though, you can't beat their prices
  7. Iced coffee flavored protein powder

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I'll look into these.
  8. Iced coffee flavored protein powder

What brand has the best protein powder that tastes like an iced coffee? I need to get my girls protein intake up a little, and she has very little appetite so I'm going to have to rely on protein powder a little. She also does have pretty picky taste buds, but loves vanilla iced coffee, so I'm...
  9. Training fiancée

I totally agree with you. I'm making a little bit of progress there. Not as much as I would like, but baby steps I guess
  10. Restricted Blood Flow Training Arms

Occlusion training is definitely not bunk. I was doing it for legs while my knee was hurt. I used the leg press with a much lighter than normal weight load, and the 30,15,15,15 scheme. It's a crazy pump..... And pain haha. But I saw some quad growth from it. Just be ready for a totally unique...
  11. Opinion on cooking for best results.

Microwaving raw meat would have your meat with the texture of rubber.
  12. Training fiancée

Well, maybe that sounds worse than how it really is. She does eat, but pretty much only like one meal a day, and not like warrior diet or anything, that one meal isn't nearly enough. I'm working at teaching her some of the lifting till she is used to it ( she's doing great in that aspect) then...
  13. Training fiancée

    What?!? Haha
  14. Training fiancée

Thanks for the input, yeah I agree it will be best to start out with free weights. Also your definitely right about making sure she gets her nutrition in, that will be the hard part for me ( she has almost no appetite, she actually sees eating as a waste of time) the times we've gone in the gym...
  15. Training fiancée

Quick question, for opinions. I'm just starting to train my fiancée. she is new to the gym ( used to lift, but was mainly using machines) primarily wants to lose fat ( although she doesn't have much at all, very slender, so basically just tighten up). She wants to predominantly use free weights...

  17. Looking for a good dopamine booster

L tyrosine on an empty stomach.
  18. Am i loosing weight too fast?

Although I do agree. IF definitely isn't for everyone, some people don't react well to it
  19. Am i loosing weight too fast?

People act like the human body is so fragile. Even the leanest of people have plenty of stored fuel in the form of body fat to support a great deal of activity. But IF is great for people with big appetite. You just eat enough in your eating window
  20. Am i loosing weight too fast?

I actually find IF much more sustainable than the old 6 small meals a day style.as for what is best you can find multiple studies backing both types up, so do whatever is best for you
