    11 year old weight lifting?

Technique work technique work x 3. Teach him to jump and land correctly, and to sprint correctly. Teach him to do bodyweight movements correctly. Pushups, planks, pull ups, etc. are all well and good, but will only do more harm then good if you are reinforcing poor movement patterns. Teach...

Protein Synthesis, close Two-a-days, and leucine

Training and then feeding results in the stimulation of a number of cellular processes leading to adaptation that ultimately (when repeated over time) manifest in enhanced performance...be in larger muscles, more strength, etc. These molecular pathways take hours, days, and in extreme cases...

    Massages

Deep tissue massages and (especially) active release therapy will work similar to foam rolling - break up scar tissue, help fascia heal more in parallel, reduce overactive muscle spindle activity (reciprocal inhibition), reduce edema...basically when done consistently will help to loosen up...

    Stim cleanse?

I am still not sure how that would result in receptor upregulation and preventing a tolerance effect to amphetamines such as Adderall? I am curious, do you have more information, or is this simply a brotail?

    Protein supplement review

Nice, lol! I wasn't suggesting going pitting companies against each other in a study. I was thinking more along the lines of comparing say: A novel proprietary formula (brand) vs. whey isolate (gold standard) vs. carbohydrate (placebo).

    Stim cleanse?

I really do not understand how benadryl which antagonizes histamine receptors (and as a result also makes you sleepy, since histamine is stimulating) has much to do directly with preventing the downregulation of beta-adrenergic receptors which is agonizes (activated) by clen and other...

    Protein supplement review

Invalid Link Removed Our latest review, I'm attaching the full text for anyone interested. Next step is to evaluate the effects of different brands on hypertrophy in animals and then humans. This is a shameless pimp - but if any companies are interested in obtaining university and...

    Stim cleanse?

I have a caffeine problem. I drink upwards of a 1/2-1 pot a day during the semester. It will take a lot longer than one day for CNS adenosine receptor downregulation to occur and for adrenergic receptor upregulation to occur. Here is my suggestion - choose a period of time where you know...

    Drug Interaction Question

Pretty certain avoiding those are for absorption purposes, if you take it with food (and I'm guessing calcium with the multivit/mineral and diary connection absorption will be reduced).

    All aboard the Betaine train.

Take it with food, absorption is not changed (a little slower, but it will still all be absorbed). Timing doesn't matter. Betaine is taken up and stored by the tissues, and that's where it exerts its effects. In our study we dosed it 2x per day in equal doses....but based on the research...

    All aboard the Betaine train.

Basically, the results are promising, but not conclusive. In our study we saw an improvement in work capacity (i.e.: volume performed over several sessions (week 1: 3 x 10,9,8; week 2: 11,10,9)) but we did not see an increase in strength (measured by bench press and squat 1RM). Others have...

    All aboard the Betaine train.

I love how this thread took off! We are actually looking to test lower doses to see where the low-end of the dose-response curve exists. With the high tissue absorption and low metabolism of betaine, I do not think loading it would yield faster results. I never suggested going over 3g per...

    Betaine ideal dosing?

There's a number of studies in pigs showing betaine increases GH production. There is one human study that shows this as well (Apicella et al., 2013 (2012?)). There is 1 animal study that shows betaine is taken up by the hypothalamus and inturn increases GHrP secretion, which is one of the...
