Can an old man get huge?

Thanks, it’s working great so far and I’m only halfway 413 to the 700-800 they want me at. To add to my previous post I had to upgrade to XL T-shirts today since the larges I bought about 4 months ago are getting way to tight around my shoulders and chest so I’m getting no air flow to keep...

    Questions about starting TRT

I got the results from my first labs after starting HRT at 140mg/week of test cyp 6 weeks ago. My free test is up from 66 to 413 which is still short of the 700-800 range they want me in so they upped the dose to 160mg/week.

Can an old man get huge?

Things are finally moving along again since I went on HRT since my free test was only 66. All my powerlifts are going up again including my Bench where I had lost ground for months due to a shoulder impingement. Well if you add up the total of my best powerlifts I finally hit 1000 lbs. this...

    Questions about starting TRT

No right now it’s once a week (actually I’ve been cutting the pill in half and taking half the day of my shot and the next 3-4 days later) but they plan to adjust the dose to get the right balance once they get my test level up to where they want it which they say they normally shoot for about...

    Questions about starting TRT

Thanks for the comment Bulldog! They also have me on 12.5mg of aromasin from day one and I’m suppose to start my first cycle of HCG once they check my first blood work. They originally checked a bunch of things including my thyroid and pituitary to see if there was some other underlying cause...

    Questions about starting TRT

Well they’ve been giving me 140mg of Test Cyp a week now for 6 weeks and drew blood this week to see where I’m at. I probably won’t get the results until I go in next week. They will check where I’m at and adjust the dose accordingly. I have to say that from the first day of the first shot...

    Questions about starting TRT

Well my labs came back and my total testosterone was 66. Because it was so low they ran another set of labs to ensure it wasn’t caused buy my pituitary or hypothalamus and those labs say it isn’t so I’m going to go ahead and start the HRT today since everything I’m reading says at this low of...

    Questions about starting TRT

I may be starting TRT and wanted to ask those of you with experience if the protocol the clinic I’m looking at right now seems like a good one. Their goal is to get my testosterone level up into the high normal range. They use weekly injections administered at the clinic but they will...

Dealing with some serious shoulder pain

I wanted to update this to let others know what’s been recommend to me seems to be working. Today I equaled my best Close Grip Bench Press ME lift from a couple months ago. That might not seem like much but considering I lost about 10% off of all my pushing movements and was in so much...

Dealing with some serious shoulder pain

Thanks for the link to that article. I get a “you suck” score on the hand behind the back distance and not only got pain on both sides right when breaking parallel with my elbow but on the right side the pain lingered for quite a while after doing it. I will start doing the phase one...

Dealing with some serious shoulder pain

A coworker who’s been competitive bodybuilding for years turned me on to 5-10lb. bent over weight exercise you mention. I’ve also been doing L-Flyes. Also various stretching to improve my shoulder mobility which isn’t terrible but could be much better. I may have also discovered I’m...

Dealing with some serious shoulder pain

No not yet. I’ve given myself until May when my annual physical is due to try and sort it out myself. However, if there is still any pain or weakness by then or if things stop improving I will get checked out. I actually need to find a new doctor since my present one doesn’t even think I...

Thanks for the advice on Dips. I actually like them more than doing the Bench Press so I plan to reintroduce them slowly.

Dealing with some serious shoulder pain

Thanks for the great info and advice BigD. I haven’t seen a doc but based on my self-diagnosis I have at a minimum bursitis, maybe tendonitis since I know I’m prone to it after getting it in my forearms. I’ve been able to rehab my forearms by doing special exercises and at first eliminating...

Dealing with some serious shoulder pain

I just got a PM today asking how my shoulder was doing which made me think I should update this thread. So far it seems to be doing much better. I can still feel there’s an issue but the constant pain is gone and I can even sleep on that side now. Although my right arm is still much weaker...

Older wiser and just broke my old record

Hang in the OG. I went through something similar 5 years ago with my mother but did have my dad and sister helping though it still sucks. As hard as it probably is to think about right now make sure keep taking care of yourself. At least try to work in some sort of exercise even body weight...

Dealing with some serious shoulder pain

I accept that I am very much a beginner but I had stalled in all my lifts using other strength and hypertrophy methods. Westside seems to be working wonders for my Squat and Deadlift but my lower body has always been strong from humping a machinegun in the Corps and ultra-running especially up...
