I would say that it is probably not optimal to train fasted. Im not sure there are any conclusive studies to point to one way of the other, but logic tells me that if you are low on energy then intensity may suffer. When your overall calorie intake is at or above maintenance, then catabolism...
Thats kind of a vague question. What are your stats? What does your training consist of? Are you looking to gain muscle or lose fat? What do you want in the way of a "diet"? "Eat this and not that" type of a diet? Or a calorie intake with macro ratios?
So t-giving week wasnt a total disaster. At the very least my weight remained the same. I might have lost a half pound. Hard to tell because I am a little bound up....must be that turkey backlogging everything down there. I dont know.
I started a couple of experiments today. One of them was...
The majority of your success, whether you are dieting or bulking, is going to come from hitting the right number of calories and the correct ratio of protein/carbs/fat. So, considering only short term physique goals, I believe fast food can be incorporated into a diet and will yield the results...
I agree. Its pretty hard to generate a pump without a healthy dose of carbs. Sodium is also an issue as well as training style. When i train heavy (4-6 rep range) I dont get a pump. But then again, the pump is not really an indicator of a good workout either.
Well, once the deed has been done.....its done. No use dwelling on overeating after the fact. Just get back on the diet and slowly up the calories from where you were during contest prep. Its a common mistake for most new bodybuilders to binge when as they go into off season. You will bounce...
umm.....OK..... I like to use the 5432 superhindy watcha majig with my fragments......by I put it on toast with jam to make it all slide down nice and easy. :D
Dude, i have NO idea what you are talking about.
I have a set rate of gain/loss that I like to stay consistent with and...
Thats great. I think you have the right idea.......you are young and these years are PRIME TIME growing years when you are in a spot hormonally that we (as older bb'ers) wish we could attain again. Muscle will be piling on at this stage of the game more so than any other time in your life. So...
Yes, I am actually 22 weeks out and 15 lbs over. It would be great if I could lose 15 lbs in 15 weeks, but i know the last 3-5 lbs are the real challenge and will most likely be coming off in dribs and drabs at the end. Im hoping to come in another pound leaner than last june though so I know...
I had another nice leg session last night. Pumped up on Ergo......felt real good. Im starting to diet down for the Tournament of Champions in April. I am about 15 lbs over my depleted stage weight so I have a solid 15-20 weeks of dieting in front of me to get shredded. Im planning on a bit...
Great job man!! Congrats! How did you like competition? How did you stack up against the other competitors? I remember my first show....absolutely loved it. Learned a ton too. Keep at it man. Keep banging away and you'll get to where you want to go.
IMOP, its probably the junk load that is doing much more for your look than the sodium manipulation. But I also spike sodium prior to the stage.....I just dont ever deplete prior.
Its amazing to me how many people cut their sodium out before they compete as if they are competing on another planet where their reaction to sodium is somehow different. Without sodium you are flat and unable to pump.
I recently got some great feedback from some people at my local gym who have bought ergo-blitz......one guy coming off of some other very well known pre-workout (super-pu-cough*cough*) :). We were talking about blood flow from ergo and both of us agreed it is the best "pump" product we had ever...
Totally true! I think the recovery has a lot to do with the damn good sleep. It wasnt unusual for me to wake up 3-4 times a night. I wasnt up for long......just long enough to look at the clock and conk back out again. But if was waking 3-4 times a night, how deep was my sleep? Now that I...

My antioxidant has a big dose of vitamin C on top of a 200% dose in my multi. I have often supplemented with extra vitamin C as well.
Vitamin D is huge, especially coupled with the magnesium from the cabergolean. Most people are severely deficient in vitamin D3 (especially those of us in the...
In reality, you have to be pretty damn lean to notice a significant difference with any peak week strategy. Getting leaner is just a matter of dieting longer (and preferably slower to minimize muscle loss). My first show I dieted for 13 weeks and realized I needed to be much leaner to be real...
