  1. Sorry guys, yet another bulk or cut

I'm personally a fan of Layne Norton's PHAT style training and Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 program. They both can be used to simultaneously add size while also getting very strong. However, any good plan or program based on compound movements and sensible programming will work. The key here is big...
  2. Kre-alkalyn creatine caps

If mono doesn't bother you I see no reason to not just buy the cheapest mono you can find from a reputable brand.
  3. Neck strain doing ohp.. Pffff

Your head wont really move, but it should almost feel like you are pulling your head through the window created by your arms and the barbell. Again, the head doesn't actually move it just feels that way when your arms come up and the bar rotates back to over your head.
  4. Possibly a stupid question...Training with a hoodie...

Same here. I feel like it helps me get my body warmed up a little quicker. Its probably all in my mind anyways.
  5. Which work out?? Advice, opinions!!!!

Like others said, the accessory work is not the biggest part of the program and doesn't matter all that much. Often I just do a 5x10 of the main 5/3/1 lift with around 50% of my max.
  6. undisputed champion?

Cheerios. They're delicious with skim milk and only have a gram of sugar per serving if you buy the unsweetened version.
  7. Has anyone here tried Vida health or MyFitnessPal?

It's probably better to be conservative like that. I use Endomondo if I go running and it sends the calories burned to My Fitness Pal. I'm guessing an app that ses GPS is going to be a lot more accurate.
  8. Program schedule

Check out Layne Norton's PHAT training. You could probably modify it to fit your needs.
  9. Has anyone here tried Vida health or MyFitnessPal?

I use to use that, but I'm concerned that it is not very accurate. I spend 45 minutes lifting with 20 minutes of that being powerlifting type stuff with long breaks and the rest being bodybuilder styled with short breaks. Calories burnt must be vastly different for these two types of training.
  10. Article: Open Letter to Aspiring Gym Owners

His pay is a part of the GYM's cost of operating. He can't just use the GYMs bank account as his own, it's a business.
  11. Vacation diet

You're on vacation, just eat what you want.
  12. Cheat day

Do those calories not seem excessively low to anyone? I'm a little heavier than you at 240, but I know I'd burn around 600 calories a day on cardio alone doing 45 minutes. That would mean I'd need to eat around 3000 or possibly more to maintain a 500 calorie deficit. Just voicing a concern of mine
  13. Deadlifting with L5/L4 bulging disks (No pain)

Look at doing TVA exercises like vaccums and make sure you do some sort of core work before deads to ensure all your core muscles are firing. You may want to talk to a doctor or something, but I'd probably lift whether a doctor told me I could or not...
  14. Questions about 5/3/1 BBB

If you haven't found it yet, there is a Wendler's app for the iPhone that calculates everything for you. It even tells you how many reps you need to get on each weight to beat your max. Makes running the program stupid easy.
  15. Give me a workout!!

You could try a PHAT style workout. Monday-full body strength Wednesday-upper body hypertrophy Friday-lower body hypertrophy
  16. Bodybuilding/powerlifting

A lot of people will take a program and change it. For example, I used Layne Norton's PHAT training for six months, but omitted the lower body hypertrophy days because I am not interested in increasing the size of my legs.
  17. Getting JAFed with Olympus Labs Epi/DermaTrest

Today was my first non de-load training day. I started the week off with deadlifts and busted out 10 reps of 355 on my final set. That means I am already stronger than my new max that I calculated my weights off of. Not sure what to do about that. After next week I might jump my maxes...
  18. Getting JAFed with Olympus Labs Epi/DermaTrest

JAF, for those of you that aren't my douchebag friends, stands for Jacked As ****. That is my goal. Vague numbers and guesses at percentages do me no justice. Only how I look and what weights I can move matter. After bulking up to 245 with HDrol it has taken me about 12 weeks to drop to 230. I...
