  2. What's the best type of workout? Full body or split routine?

Okay, here's the thing about full body routines. I have no clue why he does 5 a week, but with three a week it is the most effective routine you can do as a beginner. This may sound off, but let's look at the math If you're a beginner it only takes about 48 hours to recover from workout to...

  4. Working towards 475 deadlift@148 bw

That's true, I have been working on using my hams and glutes more, as well as opening my hips and just better form in general, but I usually do it at lower weights up until my working set which is probably counter productive honestly
  5. Working towards 475 deadlift@148 bw

Lol I want to compete in the weight class I'm in, but yeah i pretty much pull it like a conventional pull but with my hands on the inside. It just feels best to me. And I do little peaking cycles, but I do 3 week cycles, almost like a super butchered version of 5/3/1 The only reason I tried...

  8. Squat and deadlift options/alternatives

Try sumo, or different deadlift variations. Just focus on moving up slowly and you'll be okay
  9. Bench tip

I used to worry about accessory work, and couldn't figure out why my bench was plateauing. I did accessories for my chest, my shoulders, my triceps, everything. It wasn't until I cut out the accessory movements and just did bench accessories instead that my bench went up. Touch n go bench, pause...
  10. Topic of the week: Is Overtraining BS?

Hmmm I guess I never really thought about the difference in the two, you're right though. Honestly though, i feel like overtraining is real, but you have to try to achieve it. Like debilitating overtraining. Say doing 25 singles at 90% of your max for deadlifts every day for a month
  11. New Routine/Program Suggestions

Just do peaking cycles, you get to enjoy the pump and do bodybuilding assistance work at the beginning of the cycle and at the end you lift heavy, the best of both worlds
  12. Topic of the week: Is Overtraining BS?

overtraining is real, but is also usefull. when peaking for a powerlifting meet you take advantage of it, because after you have overtrained and you taper off the volume your body supercompensates and your strength goes up while your fatigue goes down (at the end of the taper)
  13. Suggestions for a good new exercise for chest and exercise for quads

I mean there aren't many choices for quads. I would honestly recommend back squats I don't see why you wouldn't want to do them. if your back squats have been stagnant try using a different rep range or something, maybe peaking. getting your squat up will help your quads more than anything else...
  14. Home Gym Good Enough For Mass Building

you can get commercial gym "big-ish" off machines, but you wont get actually strong or big, not unless youre using anabolic supplements. its better than nothing though
  15. assistance work during a peaking cycle

I understand that lowering volume is critical in a peaking cycle, especially in the main movements, and for any muscles that are heavily involved in the lift. when you're cutting the volume however, is it actually necessary to cut out almost trivial muscle groups such as biceps? or even though...
