My $.02 would be to drop carbs and start doing more of a recomp style gaining cycle...at 16% bf you're getting into the realm of diminishing returns from a bulk
Clen absolutely does discriminate between muscle and fat. It is somewhat muscle protein protective. And actually blocks cortisol quite potently...that being said, it also will up the rate that you are burning calories. So it can potentially contribute to muscle loss.
Make sure you keep...
A very simple fix that works wonders...add a tbs of extra virgin olive oil to each meal. Depending on how many meals you eat, that is an extra 600+ quality calories a day
Not at the moment. But I'm planning on doing a video each week of one of my workouts. I'm planning on doing my chest/shoulders/bi workout next week. I'll also be starting my prep for nationals in a couple months and documenting that as i go
Uploaded a short vid of one of my typical leg days.

I'm wanting to get more content up on youtube and other outlets...hopefully let some other benefit from my 15+ years of trial and error in my bodybuilding process. But I am admittedly not great at the video schtuff...
Thanks yall!
...it's more of a work in progress story lol. Been training for over 15 years. Competing for about 8. Currently trying to work my way up the national level ranks. That picture was from just before nationals last year. Ended up placing 15th out of the 40 light heavies. Not what...
As others have said, lots and lots of carbs lol....and completely anecdotally, sweet potatoes and beef. I always feel stronger when those are in my diet
How often do we eat carb sources alone? Because that is what the GI measures. The vast majority of the time we eat some amount of protein, carbs, and fats in a meal. GI is pretty damn crappy at predicting blood glucose response and unsulin response to foods when full meals (protein, fat, and...
I think the bulk/cut route can just as easily result in wheel spinning. Either way works if you do it right. I think it depends on what your goals are...if you are not a competitor, then I don't think there is ever a reason for a hard bulk. If you're, say a light heavy looking to move up to...
If ya really want to know where you're at, take some whole body pics...different people hold fat in different areas. Impossible to say how close you are to comp conditioning without seeing glute/ham tie in especially...looking good in the pics man. What division would you compete in?
Nice job brother! You'll learn soo much each time you prep. And it gets easier to bring those legs in leaner and leaner each time...kinda like your body gets used to dropping the fat. Bodybuilding is a marathon not a sprint, takes a lot more time than people think to build a truly impressive...
Thanks brother. Workin in making some big changes. Taking a long offseason and just peaking for nationals this year. Sitting 15 lbs heavier than I've ever been right now. Staying lean. And still with time to grow?
Mainly just needed to be leaner last year. That was my 4th competition of the...
needed? No. But helpful. Especially HIT style. I think of cardio as a supplement when cutting. It's the diet that gets you lean, but cardio will give the process a boost. when done right of course
