Killn' The Cube: My powerlifting venture begins

Thanks, bro. Ahh, I'm so damn close now. I might of had it yesterday, but I'll never know now. A few months at the latest, IMO. Then I'll throw on some wraps. Dude, the buffalo bar is not a whole lot to be jealous about. Well, other than having a bent bar. It's thin and has no...

ME lower: Buffalo bar squat: 315x3 345x3 365x2 385x2 405x2 415x2 445x2 (PR) Well, if I knew everything was going to feel so light I would have made better weight jump decisions. Even the last set of 445 felt crazy light. I was good for at least 485 today, possibly 500. 1.5" deficit deadlift...

No idea but I want that job. Hmm, I doubt it's the same place because it's a local shop. It's named simply delicious or something similar. I guess brownie spiking is common. Lol.

ME lower: SSB squats: 365x5x3 335x8 So, I found out the SSB at my gym might be heavier than 65#. So, I might be SSB'ing more than I thought. :hump: Block pulls: 495x5 545x2 585x2x3 Felt strong overall, but I'm going to need to address my grip. I'm almost certain if I maxed out right...

    Sean's Powerlifting Journey

I was really hoping that slingshot protein was a joke. I lose a little respect for Mark after that to be honest.

Word, lol. He could be taller as well. When you're as wide as as a Buick it makes you look shorter. Welcome, man! Never too late. I haven't cubed in a long time, but it's a solid program! Let us know if you log it.

Killn' The Cube: My powerlifting venture begins

Thanks for your input fella's. He kind of sketched me out when he went on a rant about how sumo isn't anyone's strongest position, and how he told some kids to look up on their squat and it instantly added 90# to their squat. Lol Sh1t like that is cause for concern. But I did see him bench 495...

Killn' The Cube: My powerlifting venture begins

Oh and random thoughts I feel like posting: I'm probably going to be relocating. They can send me anywhere in the US. I hope it's not North Dakota or something dumb. Fingers crossed. I just can't turn down the career opportunity. And some large mofo wants to make a powerlifting team and asked...

Killn' The Cube: My powerlifting venture begins

ME lower: Popped my hamstring again Friday, not nearly as bad as before, but it affected me enough to warrant a light day. Squat: 325x3x3 355x3 Everything felt incredibly light despite being beltless. But again, it was only 355, lol. Deadlift: 405x3 455x3 495x2 525x1 545x2x2 (Volume PR)...

    Rack pulls

This varies greatly between individuals. I know some people will go above knees to prime their CNS, and some will go as little as a few inches off the floor. Personally, I like to set the pins at the weak point of my pull. This ends up being a few inches below my patella.
