A couple guidelines i always follow.
No strenous exercise in the 24hrs preceding the test.
Fast for at least 8 hrs
Have the draw taken in the morning.
Peak levels are higher in the morning. Really though your T level seems to be fine. The free T level might have been affected slightly but I...
IMO pre workout supps are one of the biggest scams out there. The stimulant based ones may get a person amped up but I've yet to see any evidence equating that to long term gains. Even if they did those stims can be had for way cheaper than the pwo mix.
I think most guys jump immediately on...
Good to know people have been using it for awhile with no issues. The shake style drinks do not sit well with me and sometimes did not sit with me for more than a few minutes. This stuff has been almost too good to be true and you know the saying about that.
Hey guys I've been using clear whey as my only supplemental protein, roughly 40g per day the rest is from whole food sources. The articles I could find says it is pretty much the same nutrition as whey isolate just much more filtered. Does anyone have experience with this or knowledge in...
How long were you taking it and how long did it take for the symptoms to subside after stopping? Also did you start/stop anything else along with it? With that quick of an onset it just seems like it could be something else coinciding. I tried a new supp about a year ago and immediately felt...
There are some benefits to low doses of nicotine but you mentioned the biggest drawback. .. "hooked on them" it's highly addictive and there is a fine line between beneficial and harmful dose... it is considered a poison. To me the risks outweighed the benefits.
Yep sometimes I skip the caffeine. Some nice high glycemic carbs for the glycogen and whey to make sure aminos are there when needed IMO the pre-workout mixes might make a person feel amped but rarely actually improve performance and do nothing for hypertrophy
Definitely. I think they work best in conjunction with other methods of therapy. Adding them into my PT regiment got me back to doing squats again...and I thought my old man knees were going to be the end of my squatting days.
There is a debate about that I think the debate is being driven by the people who sell the oral version. Most folks pin it as close to the injured area as possible. I've used it on my research subject's knees and elbow helped significantly with healing time.
if I was still in CO I'd be going but I moved to TX last week. They got a good bodybuilding show I'll be checking out NPC Heart of Texas. Not as cool as strongman but should still be a good show.
Really dig into TRT before going that route, it can be really harmful if your test levels are in the normal range. From the progress you've made your test levels are probably good anyway. Don't discount the progress you made on reta, that 28lbs is significant.
Before hopping on a cycle...
TL;DR - approach with weights and cardio combo seems solid but go with weights if you have to choose, above all else get your diet in order and geared toward weight loss. Best of luck to you.
I take a different approach. I'm not a fan of using cardio for weight loss. Cardio is great for...
Looks like a few of us are in the same boat. I was misdiagnosed with a degenerative joint disease which caused severe pain when lifting and eventually moving. The "treatment" alleviated the pain but couldn't go back to the gym...I nearly off'd myself when I had to stop lifting. I went from...
