I have 8mm Mauser ammo that was made in 1942. It still fires without a hitch. Most of my 7.62x54R for my Mosin Nagants' was made anywhere from the 1950's-1970's. It's as accurate and reliable as some of the modern stuff I've fired out of them. Most military surplus ammo (and current loads)...- Trauma1

I've owned Kimber myself and agree they are very good firearms; but also horribly overpriced imho, which is why many denounce Kimber in general. I traded in my Kimber Pro Covert 2 last month. Check out the Beretta PX4 Storm series as well. I have one in .40 cal and really like it. It's a bit more ergonomic and updated from the 92 series; not to mention, not that expensive either. There's a few different guys on ebay that will convert your bolt to the standard sniper length and angle. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on one of these. I like the straight pull on the bolt. Pretty cool it uses and enbloc clip as well. The price is great on them, but I've heard that anything but the surplus ammo for them is garbage and underpowered. I haven't seen anything on reloading for it, but I imagine you could.
