Thanks brother. I definitely feel like it's a weak point for me. It progresses, just seems to be slower than my squat and dl. I'm hoping to hit a 1600lb total on the platform early next year.

Been or for a few days, super busy lately. I was in a bit of a rush today, so I hammered out...
The point is that substantial growth is attainable through powerlifting based training.. I'm not by any means saying bodybuilders methods don't work. Change is good. That's the point. Constant overload will build muscle, dense muscle. I would argue that powerlifters attain a greater density...
Look at Matt Kroc, Stan Efferding, Johnnie Jackson.. all bodybuilders who started as powerlifters. Not a one of them with small biceps.. and I assure you they didn't have a dedicated arm day.
Well put rodja.
Jaces, when you male reference to tut and speed, I believe you're mistaking a powerlifter's training with a technique we use, the dynamic effort.
A gallon of milk a day works wonders.. or half gallon of chocolate. If appetite is an issue, pick up some ghrp6. About 10 minutes after pinning, you'll be starving.
Squats are not a quad dominant movement.. they are posterior chain dominant. Powerlifters have massive legs because of consistent overload and the hypertrophy based accessory work. Will squats build your quads? Sure. But there are better choices if you're solely looking for quad size.
When it comes to creatine, I look solely at cost to benefit ratio. You can buy 200 5g servings for 18 bucks, or 30 servings of good knows how little, for probably anywhere from 25-40 bucks.
I haven't. I'll definitely check it out though. I'm in Illinois.. and Mark Motsinger lives fairly close to me. Him and his ex wife are the state chairs for the USAPL in Illinois.. but they're going through a divorce and I don't believe they've scheduled anything recently. I may have to look out...
