That could work pretty well as a warm up if you worked your way up to unassisted. Just make sure that you do controlled negatives because if you go down too fast and don't have the strength to stop yourself is when you can mess up your shoulder.
I actually injured my shoulder on my shoulder day while on S4 to my luck. Injured my rotator cuff and was good to go 2 weeks later after shoulder rehab exercises + fish oil.
This is why I'm happy that I don't take the whole super aesthetic thing seriously. I can still the top 4 abs very well and I don't have to eat like an OCD person constantly.
Definitely a good isolation exercise if you do those kinds of things. They're probably considering them "wussy" because most people don't do them right. You have to do them slowly with a big contraction at the end of the rep which means that you should be using a light(er) weight for it. People...
My hammies are coming in nicely now! When I was a lifting noob I neglected them big time so they've been lagging behind everything else. Been hammering them with squats, leg curls, and SLDLs and I can see a big difference now! That makes me happy.

The rest periods between sets on your lighter days should be short if you're considering it HIT. 60 seconds between sets would be pretty ideal. Strength training = longer resting time between sets, hypertrophy/volume = shorter resting time between sets.
