    Article: Busting Obesity Myths

So, an article stating they decided on answers, but you've got to pay the $50 to read the answers in the study; they aren't here. I want my 5 minutes back.

Olympic lifting and lower back tightness

High thigh hits aren't entirely uncommon for cleans, since the hands are closer. If you're hitting thigh on a snatch, I guess it means you're popping too early, which probably means your clean is popping too early, too. I'd try making sure your heels are still on the ground when you pull the bar...

    Lower Back Injury from deadlift

Invalid Link Removed I agree with rehabbing an area with the movement that injured it - once it's done being inflamed and horribly sore. A month off deadlifting won't cause anyone's numbers to drop - he's only missing 3-4 sessions a month anyway. It's awesome if you're smart. OP went straight...

Olympic lifting and lower back tightness

My experience has been that learning on low reps and full-resets will give you the ability to do high rep work with good form. Unfortunately, the majority of CF would rather band-aid by using a lower weight with bad form than start off with good form - more an issue of coaching, imo. It's a...

Olympic lifting and lower back tightness

Haha, yeah, since you haven't been training the lifts since birth, you'll never get as flexible as some of those guys, but you can still improve a lot. Don't forget ankle mobility, too!

Olympic lifting and lower back tightness

You're not staying upright. Your hips start high, then rise, your shoulders move forward over the bar, and you lock out your knees before you even really pull with your back. Your whole back rounds as soon as you start to pull (you're actually starting rounded, but it gets worse). You're pushing...

Olympic lifting and lower back tightness

Aw, I remember my first pump, too! Just poking fun. But seriously, pump is going to happen. I'll also guess that your form is bad and your abs are weak. Look to stay upright, hips down in starting position, keep the bar close to your body, work the shrug and triple extension. High reps is about...

    Lower Back Injury from deadlift

MONTHS. Unless you're Wolverine. No deadlifts. No sumo, no romanian, no crossfit, no axle, no hex bar, not on a train, not on a plane. Everyone else is probably going to tell you no, but I PR'd on squat after I herniated my low back, so only do it if it's 100% pain free.

    Lower Back Injury from deadlift

Your 470's not going anywhere. Take a month or three off from dl's. If you keep re-injuring yourself, you're gonna have a bad time. Eat food and sleep lots.

Beginer needs help with her diet!

I wouldn't say "avoid" - potatoes can be a great source for energy. The standard american diet just includes tons of pasta and potatoes, which have tons of calories. Use them sparingly, small amounts, etc. Tasty veggie choices: Invalid Link Removed As for recipes, heck, you can live on bags of...

Beginer needs help with her diet!

Yep. To be clear... are we talking vegetarian? Or that that aside from meat, the only vegetables you eat are green? That ought to help a bit with the recipes part. You'll be fine without them, easy enough. Honestly, any low carb protein powder is generally fine in chocolate. Nothing wrong with...

    Scrambled egg / omelette

"According to the health department, potentially hazardous foods (like scrambled eggs) can be safely kept at 41*F for 7 days" As a personal rough rule, I'd give it a week for each method of preservation. Cooked, salted, refrigerated food in an airtight container? Dat dere a munf.

My apologies for the snarky critique - I honestly didn't intend to offend. BPS makes good products at good prices, so the explanation is confusing.
