U know my wife actually sees it that way. She is a nurse and is big into training and nutrition as well. She doesn't count calories, she just goes by feel. She says that added stress can actually encourage fat gain.
What would u recommend for my body, it has stopped responding to carb Deplete, I even ran one week of high carb to kinda boost it back up. I even tried carb back loading
I have been dieting for awhile now and have gotten pretty lean. I have been running carb depleting for 6 days straight with a 7th day refeed. I lift weight 4-5 times a week with HIIT training 4 times a week. This week I have started running a low carb diet. Where basically I have for my carb...
Ok so do u agree with the high GI carbs like he says in the book for meeting ur carb needs post workout?? Cuz I go all day without carbs no problem but just trying to get the best idea for what carbs to use to backload. I been using things like white rice/ potato, fries and sometimes cereal...
According to the book you eat 30g or less of "usable" carbs during the day PRIOR to training and eat lighter meals prior as well. Most of your calories you consume post workout. Your meals should consist strictly of protein healthy fats ans plenty of veggies. He states try to hit ur intake on...
And seeing how many carbs u need is trial and error?? It's just a hard transition for me haha cuz I been carb depleting for a while now and putting them back In the equation is confusing cuz I don't wanna lower my fat to much but I have no room in calories
Yeah I know man that's the problem. That doesn't leave much calorie room with keepin my protein around 1.5 per pound of BW. When I was carb depleting with nothing but protein healthy fat and veggies I was doing good to meet my macros and still stay under my cal intake.
Ok my daily cal intake needs to be around 2100. I have been keeping my carbs very low and doin high fat and protein with a one day a week refeed. I have lost 35 pounds. So with the backload I know to include my carbs in my daily cal intake but I will easily go over my cal intake, so should I...
I'm experimenting with kiefers backloading this week. I'm just Havin a hard time using the high GI carbs. Like today for my post workout carbs I had French fried and ice cream. I just don't see how I won't gain fat.
To be honest my favorite way typically to be able to enjoy my weekends. I run low/no carbs throughout the week. Mon-Fri. I have found by doing that my body needs the extra cals and carbs by the Time the weekend rolls around I can pretty much eat what I want and enjoy myself and come Monday I...
My only issue is. I'm very experienced with counting my macros and cals but that's what "healthy" foods. Kiefer is talking about having doubts and other high glycemic carbs post training. I would be lost trying to add the macros of a donut or something to my carb intake. Much less my daily cal...
Well from what I'm reading kiefer sometimes eats donuts and stuff post workout. I'm very experienced with counting macros but "healthy" macros. If be lost trying to add those types of carbs to my macros, much less my daily cal intake
My diet is pretty spot on. I carb deplete 6 days straight with my fat intake around 90-100g and protein around 250g. My refeed day is the 7th day. I'm thinkin bout experimenting with john keifer carb back loading plan
Awesome I'm pretty excited about it. I have been carb depleting 6 days straight with a 7th day refeed now for a month straight and I just need something diff for awhile
