  1. Curcumin

With all the different extracts available, I'm a little confused on which one to use. I've read that besides inflammation, it can also help with mild depression and anxiety. Anyone know which extract (meriva, longvida, theracumin or bcm-95) would be best for these purposes? My guess would be...
  2. Adaptogens and cycling.

Anyone else get in a bad mood when taking bacopa for a while? I'm assuming due to it decreasing dopamine -http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21129470
  3. Ashwagandha, more than an adaptogen

I don't know. Just know that I get a sore throat on days I take it. Not sure if that could somehow be related to increased thyroid hormones or what. My tsh levels also dropped from 1.7 to 0.6 when I was tested two weeks after starting it. I'm no expert. Just seemed like there might be a...
  4. Ashwagandha, more than an adaptogen

My mistake. Apparently it was the pregnenolone causing the sore throat.
  5. Ashwagandha, more than an adaptogen

    Damn. Lucky me.
  6. Ashwagandha, more than an adaptogen

Anyone else get a sore throat and headache whenever you take ashwagandha? Thinking I might be allergic or something.
  7. DHEA or pregnenolone

Was originally taking 10 mg twice each day (morning and afternoon) but it started giving me a headache after the second dose. In the last week I started just taking 10 mg in the morning.
  8. DHEA or pregnenolone

That's what I'm afraid might be happening. It has been great in some respects (mood, focus) but bad in others (almost a jittery feeling like if I had caffeine). Maybe that stacked with rhodiola is a little too much (at least the agmatine I recently added has helped dropped my blood pressure...
  9. DHEA or pregnenolone

Just out of curiousity, I'm wondering if you know the answer to a question I posted above. I asked my doctor a couple weeks ago but he admitted to not knowing much about pregnenolone. Basically, I was wondering if adding pregnenolone would be bad for someone with a lot of stress or high...
  10. DHEA or pregnenolone

Will do. Per you recommendation, I plan on starting with just 5 mg every morning and adjust as needed.
  11. DHEA or pregnenolone

Thank you for the reply. The whole time release aspect of it just has me confused because I thought your body naturally has higher levels in the morning and it drops throughout the day. Time release seems to go against this by keeping levels fairly steady through the day. Wasn't sure if I was...
  12. DHEA or pregnenolone

Do you have any thoughts on oral pregnenolone tablets that are time release micronized lipid matrix? I'm curious as to how they would compare to sublingual...especially being delayed release instead of instant.
  13. DHEA or pregnenolone

Would preg makes things worse for someone with high cortisol by increasing cortisol even more? Would dhea be a better option?
  14. DHEA Supp

What if the oral dhea was a micronized lipid matrix tablet? Sublingual still better?
  15. Adaptogens?

Anyone know about the possibility of bacopa decreasing fertility? Any truth to this? Trying to decide if I should stop taking it when my wife and I plan for an addition to our family in the very near future.
  16. Could your MultiVitamins be Killing You?

Sorry for the off topic question since this thread is about multivitamin dangers but I didn't want to start a new thread with this question. Plus there seems to be many knowledgable people in this thread. What if a multi is taken without food? Are some of the vitamins not absorbed (like a, d...
  17. Could your MultiVitamins be Killing You?

Thank you. The Nutrigold Men's Organic Whole Food Multivitamin looks good too.
  18. Could your MultiVitamins be Killing You?

Just out of curiousity, which one do you use? I've been thinking about switching to a whole foods multivitamin.
  19. How many use agmatine for health benefits?

I'm not sure about that. I mainly just take it for the nootropic benefits and slight boost in energy it seems to provide (which I notice more when taking it on an empty stomach).
  20. How many use agmatine for health benefits?

Thank you for the response. I'm thinking about trying 1 g of Agmatine and 1 g of ALCAR about a half hour before breakfast. I'm hoping the ALCAR will help provide focus before work and the Agmatine help with anxiety (and also hopefully help with the lower back pain I experience every morning...
