    Emphasis on Sarcoplastic Hypertrophy

This type of hyper trophy is basically referring to the glycogen and water retention in the muscle. It will give you the appearance if increased musculature, and is certainly beneficial to overall performance/growth. However, at the end of the day we want to increase myofibril size in order to...

    Stop fearing cortisol

Good post ZIR, I completely agree the whole cortisol misconception is so rampant on the boards. However, to throw a wrench into this discussion, what do you think about cortisol control with stimulant use? I tend to use alot of stimulant compounds throughout the day for work and...

How to get shredded and advice on how I look (Pics)

Low 20's would be a reasonable estimate, just keep at it. It's all about progression, every 1-2 weeks make small increments in your cardio with small decrements in caloric intake. Your results will be more consistant and sustainable with this method versus large fluctuations.

    Deadlift form check

That looked better. You could drop down further yet, but it's a work in progress. Your starting position should be similar to the lowest point of a front squat. Legs should be near parallel, chest up, torso upright. It is essential that the initial torque created to get the bar moving upward is...

    Deadlift form check

Invalid Link Removed Means just bend your knees and drop your hips so your using more leg drive during the initial upward phase of the lift

    Deadlift form check

The biggest issue I see is your not getting your hips down under you and initially driving with the legs. Your pulling almost exclusively with your backside which places tremendous strain on the lumbar spine and lower back muscles.

    Cardio while bulking

Your correct, the liver does store glycogen, but it can also be used for muscle function. The liver also can actually produce glucose from lactate and amino acids in order to sustain blood glucose levels.

    Cardio while bulking

Glycogen is simply your muscles carbohydrate stores, and what it breaks down for energy when you workout. During high intensity exercise such as weightlifting, your body uses these sugar stores to convert into ATP (energy) to perform the work. If you have ever worked out without eating for a...

    Cardio while bulking

You make valid points here. The key thing to remember is you don't need to burn fat for energy during your cardio session to lose fat over-all. HIIT is so effective because it causes a high rate of caloric expenditure during the session, mostly from glucose, and then the body utilizes fat for...

    Cardio while bulking

Cardio won't impair muscle gain as long as your eating enough to compensate the extra calories your burning. Keeping your cardiovascular endurance up will allow your body to be more effective at burning fat for energy, and is only going to help you stay lean while bulking. Just time the cardio...

tingling in thumb, index finger, forearm after stretching

Yeah I remember the first day after my injury my bicep was so weak I couldn't even lift a cup to my mouth to drink. Good luck, hopefully it won't require any invasive treatment.

Weird chest pain, need some advice

I've had similar issues. It's called chostocondritis, and occurs when you damage the cartilage connecting your ribs to your sternum. NSAIDs and rest should take care of it but its really easy to aggravate it once you initially cause damage. Avoid full rom exercises like pec flys or dips or...

tingling in thumb, index finger, forearm after stretching

Do you have muscle weakness in the bicep or pec? Definitely sounds like a nerve issue that was aggravated by whatever stretching you were doing. Napalm hit it on the head above IMO. I had a brachial plexus injury a couple years back and lost about 80% strength/function in the muscles being...
