When to start GH?

I'm 5 weeks away from the end of my 3rd cycle which is 500mg Test E and now on 20mg/day Var for the last 6 weeks...show on 10/17.
I have some GH coming in and at 2iu per day, will last me 6 months.
Question is, when to start this? I know I'll wait until after this show as I don't want to risk my condition without knowing how my body will respond, so do I start it when I start PCT, wait the 12 weeks off and start with my next cycle?
Next cycle will be 12 weeks after this one ends and will be 500 E/week, NPP at some rate (not sure yet), and this GH...just don't know when to start it.

I'm 57 yrs old btw

I’m assuming you don’t have a coach, so my advice is based on that (if you do, listen to them).

The water GH adds varies but it will come off fast if you pull it, within a few days. So I would add it in when you get it and see if the added fullness will be a plus to your stage physique, or if the water is hurting your detail. GH has a big synergy with testosterone, because in the presence of sufficient estradiol (e2) it will convert at a greater rate to IGF1 (which is how it builds muscle and adds fullness).

Because it’s going to make you more full and burn fat a tad faster, and help sleep a little in prep too. Take it at night, regardless of meal timing, because exogenous GH works regardless of the presence of insulin/food. IM or subq does not matter either; IM just gets it in 20-40 minutes sooner. But you can pin it anywhere convenient.

Or if you’re paranoid to try or getting it too close to the show to even experiment, just start it after. It will help hold your physique in the time off blast.

Also, are you really going to PCT when you’re still cycling? Why not use TRT?

Thank you fo rthe GH info! Good stuff to know. I'll see when it arrive and se if I have enought time to start it and make adjustments if needed.

I have been cycling totally off of test after 12 weeks so I need to go through a proper PCT, yes? I've been doing Nolva @40/40/20/20/

I'm curious, do you get blood work after PCT? I'm wondering what your numbers come back at given that you're in your late 50s.

Also, I don't know how much free time you have and if it's even something you'd be interesting in doing. But I'd love to hear about your training and diet as you go through contest prep in your 50s or how it even used to be in your 40s versus now. I'm currently 41 and I'm still able to eat like a goddamn child when it comes to how it looks visibly on me, but I no longer feel that good when I eat like that lol, I'm also constantly fighting injuries and battling myself from lifting too heavy and I know all the right things I'm supposed to be doing but it's really hard to mentally make that shift. I'd love to hear about how your diet and training have evolved in your 40s and 50s.

Yes that’s a decent PCT protocol. Make sure you give the testosterone a couple weeks to clear out before starting the Nolva (if you used enanthate or cypionate; propionate you only need to wait 4-5 days probably).

I’m just surprised to hear that you are bodybuilding without taking TRT also.

I've wanted to look into it, just not sure how to go about it, cost, if insurance covers etc...
Once you start, do stay on forever basically? Then blast n cruise?

Yeah at your age it will probably be a lifelong commitment. Insurance is only going to cover if you are below 300, on 2 draws before 10 am . A lot of TRT clinics would prescribe for you though if you are sub 500. Once you suppress your endogenous test at your age for long periods though i think it will likely be a lifelong commitment . Realistically online TRT clinics are going to be 2000 a year or so for labs , visits and basic meds. More if you add nandrolone, var , etc

Just out of curiosity... when do you say **** it and stop TRT? 70? 80? Im sure it varies but what is a good generality. I can't see guys pinning in the nursing home ( if you live that long)

That's a great question there...

Well the whole point is to never end up in a nursing home….

Time to stop TRT is when there is no clinical benefit . Most people with good quality of life benefit from it long term.

Why would you not be able to pop a little insulin syringe in your thigh once every couple weeks when you’re 80?

I mean I’d say you do it until you’re ready to die; the point of the therapy is to improve healthspan, not necessarily max out lifespan with poorer quality of life.

Well.... after seeing how my parents were/are in there 80's. I honestly don't see it happening if you live that long. Hell it might, but realistically I don't see it happening for most people. And my dad was physically in really good shape for his age until the last few years.

Yes, there is a terrible fall off the last few years before death usually from what I’ve seen. Saw it in my dad. It is hard & not enviable to me; I think many people would rather have a cardiovascular event a bit sooner than stop TRT and spend more years in that highly limited state.

All that being said …. I have met people well into their 80s and some in their 90s on HRT. I’ve seen people with bad chronic health conditions in mid 70s significantly improve their health with HRT + cardio + resistance training. I have seen the toll androgen deprivation therapy takes on men with prostate cancer from physical and mental standpoint.

Do I think it is vital to maintain levels of 800-1200 in my mid 70s on…. No I don’t. I do believe levels of 500-800 would provide a significant advantage at that age group over running around near 200.
