Recommend me a stack - Mass Gaining

For years I've been very anti carb and been on less than 100g a day. Decided the effort expended in the gym isn't worth it if I'm not growing.

So I have decided to up my macros and want to supplement it with the best possible stack.

I'm a huge fan of SNS/CEL and have tried the majority of Steve's products so I have a bias towards them.

Open to any brand available in the UK.

Currently I'm on Basis, alpha one and m test.

I'll defer to others about the supplement stack but, as you seem to have found out, low carb diets are not good for bodybuilding. Carbs will put glycogen and water into your muscles fueling them and making them look better (fuller). Also they do not make you fat, excess calories are what makes a person fat.

The stack your on sounds to be right along the lines of what most are recommending.

Cheers!

That's a good foundation stack that you are on.

I'm not anti-carb at all - I try not to overdo it, but I don't perform well on low carbs. I love GlycoPhase for helping me get the best benefit from my carbs. It's out of stock at the moment most places, but will be back in in a couple weeks.

For me, if my main goal was to gain mass, my foundation stack would be Anabolic XT and Anabolic Effect and then I would be adding things from there depending on how many products I wanted to use. My choices from what you aren't already taking would be: Prime XT (see below), Pepti-Bolic or Pepti-Plex, Phosphatidic Acid XT, etc. I could keep going but most people aren't going to be taking more than that.

Prime XT would be a good option IF you want to prioritize strength, which a lot of people do when trying to gain size. It works consistently for a lot of people and then some don't see much until weeks 3 to 5 and then they see a big jump in strength. There are some people that don't do as well as others on it, but most people really like it, especially during a gaining phase.

Ok, so you're on this....Currently I'm on Basis, alpha one and m test. and looking for adding more, since you seem to be able to get CEL and SNS maybe add AE (anabolic effect)

For gains it would be simple to increase calories, Milk, whole + raw, steak, and other real proteins.

All the best

AXT/AE, Prime. Holy grail for mass and strength. I’d add in A1 it’s awesome for any goal. Basis is another favorite of mine. Creatine if you’re not already taking it, I’ve had great success with SNS MCC. I’m also on a long term low carb diet. The creatine helps it might not get into the muscle cells as well but I can tell a big difference as it gets into the interstitial spaces.

What are AXT, AE and A1? I know it's abbreviations for SNS stuff but which ones? I may have to try Prime with my Recomp, Basis and Reduce XT

AXT = Anabolic XT (SNS)
AE = Anabolic Effect (CEL)
A1 = Alpha One (CEL)

I used Prime for my last two fall/winter bulk runs and the strength gains were crazy, which definitely added to my muscle density and development as a result. I think Basis is good to stack with Prime just because it has really helped my joint pain (shoulders, knees), which increased weights can make feel worse.

I need to run a stack of Basis, Prime, and Uro B. People have been raving about Uro B for strength gains but I haven’t tried it yet.

@sns8778 has you covered buddy. All the supps he’s mentioned are ace for bulking. I’ll add SNS creatine HCL powder (great flavours - they do unflavoured too) or caps for convenience when out and about.

Been a few weeks on this stack, creatine and added carbs (all measured and logged) for a few more weeks.

My weight has jumped from 81.9kg to 86kg.

As a former overweight individual I'm slightly panicking. Is this normal?

If you were coming off from a depleted, lower carb state then yes. Creatine adds 1-4 lbs for most people, added carbs can add a few lbs right away too. It should level off from here. If you continue gaining weight at more than a lb per week it's your diet, not the stack and I'd lower calories slightly. 1 lb per week seems to be a good pace to build without gaining too much fat.

@Halfnattyman44 gave a great answer above.

Coming from a carb depleted state, you're going to gain a couple lbs. of water just from adding carbs.

Creatine, if you're taking monohydrate, makes most people hold water too.

The stack itself is not going to make you hold water and isn't going to make you gain any fat - its actually really good for recomp and building muscle while staying lean.

When I was on mono I’d gain 10 lbs at least. I’m taking SNS MCC and I don’t get the water weight with it.

Upping your carbs after being low-carb for years is the absolute best move you can make for growth. Your muscles are about to look and feel way fuller just from the glycogen retention alone.

Since you’re adding carbs back into the mix and want to maximize lean growth, here is the quick advice:
Nutrient Partitioning is Key: Since your body isn't used to processing higher carbs, look into Glucose Disposal Agents (GDAs) or secretagogues like Ipamorelin. They help force those new carbs directly into the muscle tissue as clean energy and glycogen rather than spilling over into fat.

Maximize the Extra Fuel: Adding a growth hormone secretagogue (like Ipamorelin) to a higher-carb bulk drastically improves protein synthesis and recovery. It ensures those extra calories are actually being used to repair and build dense new tissue.

Don't Scare Off: Your weight will jump the first week. Don't panic and cut carbs again, it’s just water and glycogen filling out flat muscle bellies.

Enjoy the insane pumps you're about to get in the gym. Keep the lifting heavy!
The BAN Hammer will find you soon

I get this too as a lifetime overweight individual 😆

As everyone else mentioned you’ll fluctuate a few lbs on various supplements and also from going to higher carbs/calories. I wouldn’t sweat it if you are decently strict about logging and tracking like you said, IMO it’s hard enough to gain natty muscle as-is so don’t panic every time you go up a few lbs.
