Massie wasn't all that great, and those that claim he was have a similar jew-hating vibe which I find distasteful and dangerous.
These guys that claim to be so righteous and ideologically pure are always just as dirty as the rest of them. This business with Massie getting his girlfriend a DC job, and then her getting fired after they broke-up, and offering a bribe to hide it all after the fact is typical DC bullsh1t. F-him.
But the biggest thing for me with Massie was his opposition to the Big Beautiful Bill. The GOP can't pass any budget at all, especially with cost cuts, because the Democrats vote together to stop it. Every time. You need 60 votes to pass a spending bill. Period. The BEST the republicans can do is to reallocate the existing budget towards more conservative principles (more tax cuts, less money for illegal aliens and Woke crap) using a "Reconciliation" bill. And Massie voted against the Best thing we could do at the given time.
Yeah, it sucks that this was the best we could do, the way the government works. But that is reality. And if Massie is too obstinate and obstructionist to do what is best for the country, while the Dems stay united and keep slowly winning and pushing us towards Socialism... then he needs to GO. Again, F-him.

True- I never argue that with anyone. I was always critical of the Democrats and those two in particular. Which brings me to my point- they are all guilty but you and Bambam always point out previous administrations corruption whenever the current one is criticized. It should be us against all of the govt but you seem to be blind sided by things. We can disagree about Israel but nobody should disagree that both sides of our government is corrupt

I agree, there is a uni party, however....Trump is the outlier. Dems are obsessed with fighting him, for obvious reasons, but republicans aren't exactly cooperating well either, and that's why Trump is neither, and that's why both sides want him gone.

Funny how the "dirty news" on Massie came out in the last few weeks once Trump and his cronies decided to get rid of him. It's total slander. And you don't think Trump and his family making millions off of the Iran war is a big deal? You are blinded by loyalty- i'll give you that..
I would argue he was the outlier. I just think something has changed since his first administration. To me that was the best any President has done ever until the Covid thing hit. I think he has been compromised or threatened or both. However, nothing can convince me he is doing things the same way he did from 2016-2020. It just isn't happening. It's been a huge economic failure so far. They still have 2.5 years but time is cruising by fast with no relief in sight. Again- I hope they prove me wrong but they haven't so far.

Tuna - do you know ANYTHING about the federal budget process and WHY they came up with the Big Beautiful Bill in the first place??
The Budget jumped from around 4.5t before covid to over 6t after covid. THAT is the biggest cause of our spending disaster. It was always bad, and over budget.... but they went mega-steroid overdose with covid spending, and it HAS NEVER STOPPED!! It was a Democrat spending bill right after covid when Biden pushed for 6.8t, and Kevin McCarthy along with establishment republican scumbags reduced it to around 6.1 trillion and voted for it, as if they made a great deal. Still around 1.5 TRILLION in extra spending every year. A disaster for America!!
And from then to eternity they will keep spending at THAT level with stupid continuing resolutions until a new federal budget is approved through the appropriations process. Which will never get that approved with any cuts because you need 60 votes. And YOU WILL NEVER GET the Senate to cut a trillion dollars out of the budget with 60 votes because the Dems will not vote for anything Trump wants, ever.
Which is also the reason none of the DOGE spending cuts became law, because Dems will not vote for it, and again, you need 60 votes.
So what do you suggest????
Being legally stuck at the roughly 6.1 trillion number, full of Democrat bullsh1t green energy spending, illegal aliens, Obamacare subsidies, etc... the BEST we could do was pass a RECONCILIATION Bill. The BBB. Which only needs 50 votes plus VP. Sooooooo, if the Dems won't cut a penny with 60 votes, Trump could at least move the same total money around to fund more Republican causes like extending the Trump Tax cuts, no tax on tips, and take away from programs filled with illegal alien spending and fraud, like medicare and obamacare subsidies for people who refuse to even try to work part time, etc.
And we almost didn't even get that, and could have been stuck with increased taxes and only democrat spending priorities forever... because a-holes like Massie voted with the Dems against it.
Until they break the filibuster (which has all sorts of dangers, too) this was the BEST they could do.
Unless you don't even understand the moon landing.... then all this typing was a waste. LOL

The point I’m trying to make is that it’s bad enough to have your name involved in the Epstein mess. If you’re the president of the U.S., it would be much easier to deal with the consequences. For almost anyone else, it would have been both political and personal suicide. Take former Prince Andrew, for example.
We can only look at the facts: Israel would be nothing without the aid and support of the U.S. I mean literally nothing. Still, I understand the strategic position the U.S. holds, with Israel serving as an American ally in the Middle East. But when things become controversial, it drags the U.S. along with it. Even though I’m not American, I’m pretty sure that killing children and harassing people is not something Americans want to be associated with.
I think that when Putin invaded Crimea, the world was in shock, much like the reaction when Hitler invaded Poland in 1939. I honestly don’t think Putin cares who the sitting U.S. president is. He is an extremely smart and professional former KGB agent, a narcissist whose goal is to restore the Soviet Union, with Alexander the Great as one of his idols.
I completely agree with you that Europe needs to step up when it comes to building its own military capability. But that comes with both pros and cons. One example is the U.S. war with Iran. If the U.S. believes Europe should manage on its own, then the same should apply to the U.S. as well. Build your own bases, don’t rely on ours. We all know how Trump reacted when Spain rejected U.S. requests to use its bases. Do you honestly think separation from your allies is better than unity?
The point is that no one in Europe takes Trump seriously anymore. And because Trump represents the U.S., many people in Europe no longer rely on Americans. You have to be aware of that. You are no longer seen as our ally when you threaten us and talk about taking our land. And tell me, if Europe is no longer your ally, then who are your allies?
Look at the war in Ukraine right now. What the media is reporting is that the war has changed. The occupier, the world’s largest country by land area, is losing ground. Ukraine has developed a new, cost-effective form of warfare. They have fundamentally changed the rules of war. I’m not saying Trump is kissing Putin’s ass, but his actions regarding the war in Ukraine make it look that way.
As of today, Sweden has donated 16 JAS Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine and sold them another 20. The Gripen was designed for dispersed operations. This is what Sweden contributes with, a country of only 9 million people.
Sweden has always been a neutral country. Some would call that cowardice, while others would call it smart. There is obviously a huge difference in population when compared to the U.S. Sweden obviously has its problems when it comes to immigration. We are a very tolerant people, but only to a certain point. That has started to change, and we are now adopting much stricter laws and immigration policies due to criminals trying to abuse our hospitality. I have never been to Iceland, but I would love to go sometime. My friends who have been there describe it the same way as you do. The scenery is astounding. I’m kind of jealous and a bit ashamed that you went before me. Oh well!I am Swedish / Greek. Swedish on my Father's side. My uncle researched our family tree tracing our lineage a dozen generations into Sweden (as the Bengtsson surname). I previously dismissed the Swedish contribution to WW1` and WW2 because their primary history is of neutrality and peace making. They CAN fight, but are famously reluctant to do so. And I would not say Sweden's participation ins WW1` or WW2 really affected the outcome. Could you say the same for the US contribution???
I would love to go to Sweden at some point (after the muslim horde is tamed or removed, and hand grenade attacks cease to exist).
Did an Iceland trip recently. LOVE that place. Beautiful scenery!!!!! And the safest country on earth with no muslim immigrants rampaging around. It was a terrible idea for Sweden to let them in. The Muslim immigrants HAVE home countries. Send them back to fix the problems in their own homelands, rather than importing those problems into YOUR homeland. How can that make sense? We have a phrase for that here now.... we call it "suicidal empathy"
