Reduce XT questions?

What is the best way to dose Reduce XT for a first time user? Should I dose in the morning or in the evening before bed? I also take 1 x 200mg caffeine capsule/tablet pre-workout around 1-2 hours after eating breakfast and was wondering if taking Reduce XT with caffeine would be a good idea to reduce the cortisol spike from the caffeine? Any help would be much appreciated.

The standard dose is 1 capsule 3 times per day. You could start at 2 caps per day if you wanted to, but most people start at 3 caps.

I personally take it 1 capsule when wake up, 1 capsule around 4 hours later, and 1 capsule before bedtime. It seems like that may work out pretty close to the caffeine timing that you're asking about too.

Thank you Steve! I'll probably start a 2 for a couple of days and then work up to 3 depending on whether any low cortisol sides show up.

I doubt you'll have an issue there.

The low cortisol thing gets blown way out of proportion on here.

It can happen to some people, but its rare - what's more likely is someone is paranoid about it and overthinks every little ache and pain and blames it on cortisol when its really them paying attention to every little ache and pain that was there anyway.

Funny but true story - Reduce XT sells close to as good to women as men and we've never in 18 years, not one single time ever had one female complain of low cortisol or cortisol related symptoms. Why? Because most don't even know about it or what it would even be, so they don't overthink it.

Another one - back when Reduce XT first came out, and this hits a resurgence every couple years - it was common to mega dose it for some really crazy fat loss results (and mood results). So on one hand you have the people worried about taking 2 or 3 caps and on the other you have people doing the mega dose protocol and thinking nothing of it.

Not to diminish the rare case where someone may be affected by low cortisol - but most people that are are really affected not by low cortisol, but by worrying about low cortisol :)

Thanks for the additional context. I appreciate it. I just want to make sure that I don't overdo it because I do tend to have an issue with dry joints. That is pretty funny though!:)

This depends on what you are using currently, and your goals.
I use it with my trt to control the effects of cortisol, so I take only 1 capsule per day.
Most will benefit from 2-3 capsules per day for 6-8 weeks.

A higher dosing than that and you modulate the effects of cortisol too much which inhibits Cortizone and will increase inflammation in your joints, causing joint pain during lifting, (I know this from personal experience with this product) which you don’t want which can lead to ligament and tendon tears.

With that info you’ll want to start with 2 capsules per day.

How Reduce XT works:

1. It Balances the Effects of Cortisol (Your Stress Hormone)
Cortisol is important—it helps regulate energy, blood sugar, and inflammation. But too much cortisol, especially when combined with TRT, can:
  • Break down muscle and joint tissue
  • Increase inflammation
  • Make joint pain worse
7-alpha and 7-beta-hydroxy-DHEA help by:
  • Acting as natural cortisol modulators
  • Competing with cortisol at its receptor sites, so cortisol doesn’t over-activate cells
  • Possibly lowering the body’s own production of cortisol when it’s too high
So instead of shutting down cortisol, it keeps it in check—which is better for long-term health.

2. It Supports the Immune System
These metabolites also:
  • Help regulate how your immune system responds to stress
  • May lower the release of inflammatory chemicals (called cytokines)
  • Can reduce autoimmune-like flares, especially if you’re prone to joint inflammation
This helps explain why joint stiffness/pain improves when using reduce xt, you’re calming down an overactive immune response that’s being aggravated by stress, cortisol, or both.

3. It Doesn’t Raise Estrogen or Androgens

Unlike regular DHEA
  • Reduce XT won’t convert into testosterone or estrogen
  • So it won’t cause issues like high estrogen, water retention, or hormone imbalances
  • This makes it safer and more targeted if you’re on TRT or other anabolic.
Even though 7-OH-DHEA doesn’t convert to testosterone or estrogen, it still interacts with your endocrine system, particularly by affecting cortisol signaling. Taking too much could:
  • Suppress normal cortisol levels too much, causing fatigue, brain fog, low motivation, or feeling “burnt out”
  • Potentially interfere with your HPA axis (your brain-adrenal connection)
  • Disrupt your natural balance of DHEA and cortisol,

Because 7-OH-DHEA may influence the brain’s stress and arousal systems:
  • Some people report difficulty sleeping or restlessness if taken later in the day
  • It’s best taken in the morning or early afternoon
At higher doses, its effects on cortisol modulation and brain neurosteroids could lead to:
  • Increased anxiety
  • Irritability or mood swings
Especially if you’re sensitive to shifts in cortisol or adrenal hormones

Taking too much wont directly affect your joints, but it could cause cortisol to drop too low, which can cause cortisone to drop.

But most likely at the recommended dosages and length, you’ll be fine.

Btw, when’s this gonna be back in stock at DPS? I need to re up!

I have to respectfully disagree with the above portion.

We've offered Reduce XT for over 15 years and have never had a single report that I remember from anyone saying that it negatively influenced sleep, but have had a ton of feedback from people both male and female saying that it helped improve sleep quality and helped them feel more relaxed before bedtime.

Also, there are a lot of people that use Reduce XT for anxiety and positive mood - some people like it for this in addition to the cortisol control and fat loss benefits, and some people use it just for mood purposes.

There are active members here that buy it for themselves and their spouses for mood purposes.

We are low stock on it ourselves, so I would say likely 4 to 6 weeks before the next batch will be available to restock retailers. We have some in stock direct, but its very low stock.

primext + prototest + redeuce XT will only be 6 or 8 weeks

what is the megadose protocol for Reduce XT? Just curious.

im unsure .. ive tried 150mg ( 3 caps) and felt that was enough .. i really like it at 2 caps a day

any specific reason why you would want to megadose ?

have used it before at recommended dosage and felt wasnt enough ?
if a first timer .. i would say start at 2 for 1st week and see how you feel

The megadose protocol that a lot of people do is 2 capsules 3 times per day, so 6 caps total per day.

He's asking about a specific dosing pattern that people have done for years, back since the original ph days that a lot of people get really, really crazy good results off of.

We don't promote it because I can never tell anyone to exceed the suggested use dose, but it is very popular for building or holding onto muscle during times of rapid fat loss and for helping with fat loss.

It's gotten very popular again especially with the amount of people using GLP medications and trying to accelerate their fat loss and minimize their muscle loss or building muscle.

Dosing over 75mg/day bothers my joints. Maybe I should try to tough it out and see if those symptoms subside.
