  1. Diet on saturday of ultimate diet2.0

Let's do the math. 1 lbs of body fat equals 3,500 calories. 20 lbs of body fat equals 70,000 calories (20 * 3,500). 70,000 calories / 2 months (60 days) equals 1,167 calories per day. 1,167 calories per day is the deficit from maintenance that you require to achieve your goal. That is...
  2. What about a 4-3 split?

Con: Lack of adequate recovery time. Day three and (especially) day four will most likely be suboptimal days. Especially if you are going heavy on day 1 and have an additional heavy day on 2, 3 or 4.
  3. Fasting!

    That sounds like excellent advice.
  4. Diet on saturday of ultimate diet2.0

    1. Over what time period are you desiring to lose 20 Lbs? 2. What is your maintenance daily calorie requirement?
  5. HELP with cutting Bf while maintaining my currant mass.

Do you see people who come to the gym day in and day out ...week after week ...month after month ...year after year ...and they never seem to make any progress or very little progress toward their goals? Gyms are full of these people the world over. If you are a normal, healthy individual...
  6. Diet on saturday of ultimate diet2.0

My advice would be that you don't do UD2.0 - yet. Lyle wrote this diet for people who are already in the "average" BF range of 12-15% (18-22% for women), but looking to go lower and hopefully "recomp" along the way. (Meaning lowering BF while possibly adding LBM.) As Lyle states in the first...
  7. Diet on saturday of ultimate diet2.0

It is pretty well spelled out in chapter 12. BTW, what % BF are you presently at?
  8. Diet on saturday of ultimate diet2.0

Are you doing the Thurs PM carb load? If so, get at least one meal in pre-WO, moderate CHO and PRO ~2-3 hours before the workout. The rest of the day should be roughly maintenance calorie levels.
  9. HELP with cutting Bf while maintaining my currant mass.

Diet is key! There are many programs that will assist in building muscle or oxidizing fat, but achieving your goals can't be done without a solid diet. You will probably be suprised that the amount of time you put in the kitchen will end up being more important that what you do in the gym...
  10. HELP with cutting Bf while maintaining my currant mass.

Well, you are going to have to have some fundamental understanding of what foods contain various levels of Carbohydrates (CHO), FAT and Protein (PRO). And you'll need to know approximately what total daily calories you require to be at "maintenance" (i.e. neither gaining nor losing weight.)...
  11. HELP with cutting Bf while maintaining my currant mass.

Not necessarily. The fat that you are attempting to avoid putting on is the fat stored as adipose tissue, or more commonly, body fat. DHA and EPA make up only *very* small amounts of adipose tissue as they are stored primarily in cell membranes and are highly abundant in organs including the...
  12. HELP with cutting Bf while maintaining my currant mass.

Essential Fatty Acids, more commonly know at Omega-3s or DHA and EPA. These are available from a small number of sources, including certain species of cold water fish and flax seed. Fish is a better choice than flax because of a physiological conversion process that occurs. It is also...
  13. Are weight loss drugs really effective??

Good post. Pretty much need to find the missing "personal puzzle" piece. And since physiologies differ, the piece will have variation for each individual. And the first sentence of this post is especially cogent. (Pos reps, if I had any.)
  14. My DNP Experience and some questions

Agreed. One of the early seminal studies(1) on DNP had subjects on low dose DNP for up to 420 consecutive days. (1) Simkins S. (1937). "Dinitrophenol and desiccated thyroid in the treatment of obesity: a comprehensive clinical and laboratory study". J Am Med Assoc 108: 2117.
  15. My DNP Experience and some questions

Yeah, like, how much - 1mg..., 500mg..., 1g..., 5g...? What dosing does it take to increase your BMR to like where it is 70% less efficient? Any dosing level? Please post up your study, because the EPA says: Cancer Risk: * No information is available on the carcinogenic effects of...
