You are far from having enough calories. Up your intake a lot... try adding olive oil to your shakes. It might sound nasty but it isn't bad. If you have 4 shakes a day and add olive oil to each you'll get that additional 500 calories and some good fats for hormone production.
Solo is the way to go. I go sometimes with a buddy but we don't do the same muscle groups that day... which is the way to go... that way you guys don't talk and get distracted but when you need a spot you have someone you can trust. Having a spotter I don't trust always Fs me up.
I start every workout with a isolation exercise. If I'm doing chest I'll start with a seated fly of some sort. I don't go heavy or use much energy here, I'm only doing this to increase blood flow to the target muscle thats about to get trained hard. You've gotta prime the muscle you want to...
I do stretching at the end of my workouts, only at the beginning if its dynamic. More of the extreme style of stretching... hold it with weight for 45-60 seconds at the end of your workout on that muscle group.
