I never really started lifting till my senior year of high school. I ran distance events in track so I wasn't the biggest guy. Weight around 157 I started lifting weights in hope of improving in the events I ran. I had never done any sports before so this was completely new to me. After I graduated and stop running 25 miles a week on the average within a few months I went from weighing 157 pounds to 180 pounds. I couldn't believe it, and many of the people that where close to me couldn't either.
Not to long after that someone at the gym I went to told me about a bodybuilding show that was only about 15 minutes from the gym and they said I should try it out. So basically I just challenged myself to it. I really didn't know how to diet at the time so I just looked up diets and tried to lose what fat I could, later finding out I really didn't even diet. I ended up placing 2nd at the show and for the first time in my life I felt like it was something I really enjoyed doing.
