I take the X-Gels after I warm up since I'm not completely fasted before I hit the gym. Read that was a workaround in the ArA Help Guide posted on this forum.
Also, I intake all of my carbs for the day around my workout so the shake helps me hit those macros and my body seems to utilize them...
I appreciate the confirmation. Just thought the anti-inflammatory effects of the ALA might be inhibiting the ArA in some way. I'll keep up the regimen I described and track my progress. No better test subject than myself.

Yeah, since I had a shake 15 mins before workout with carbs and protein I dosed X-Gels and ALCAR/GMS after my first or second working set. Then after a few more sets I would start sipping on my intra-shake. Still got a good pump and felt some DOMS initially, but nothing debilitating.

Gotcha. It's interesting to hear the different strategies people use. Of course, everyone should experiment to figure out what works best for their goals regarding diet and exercise. Not too sure how my body will respond to my current strategy, but won't know until I give it a go for a while.
