    Since this is your first show... I would higher a coach will really keep you in check and generally (depending on the coach and how you mesh with their techniques) will give you good results. The other option would be find someone that competes in the sport that can take you under their wing...

  3. Chest weak

    I found bench pressing with dumbbells really help me get a tighter squeeze at top and after a month and a half it helped me break my plateau on straight bar bench immensely. Honestly, I would skip the bench for a while and focus on form and the squeeze of dumbbells then go back to bench.
